Do you use a cleanser twice a day?

I recently bought Lush's Ultrabland cleanser and love it. I also regularly use their Angels on bare skin.

However, I only use it in the evening and just use water to splash my face in the mornings.

I have acne, not awfully but recently came off my antibiotics so they are starting to pop up again. I am thinking of using angels in the morning and ultrabland at night.

Do most people cleanse twice a day?

I use Soap & Glory drama Clean for eye make-up, hot cloth and Philosophy Purity Made Simple or Good Things Manuka Honey at night

In the shower, Soap and Glory (Faith Soap and Clarity or Daily Youth foaming cleanser)

I like a foamy washy in the shower but they're not so good at taking off make-up.

U2 have you tried your cleanser with a muslin cloth? You get gentle exfoliation and no pesky cotton wool fibres.

Only when I wear make up which is rare.

Soap and water otherwise.

I only use a cleanser when I've been wearing foundation, which I don't do very often.

Otherwise I just wash my face in the shower, and splash with water a couple of times a day. I don't use soap as it makes my skin dry.

Yes usually. I use Dermaflannel in the morning with cold water, then tone and moisturise.

Evening I use Ultrabland (yay for another convert! It's been my hero product for years!) to get make-up off and then wash with a Salcura cleanser, use acid toner, serum and then moisturiser.

Until a few months ago I generally didn't do anything in the morning, but my skin changed for the worse so I began a new routine and it's improved.

No, I haven't tried a muslin cloth.

Off to amazon!

I use Shiseido Ibuki Gentle Cleanser with a Clarisonic in the morning, and a cleaning balm (Clinique or Body Shop) in the evening with a flannel to take makeup off and cleanse the skin.

I do.

I use La Roche Posay Effaclar Gel Cleanser every morning and night.

I don't like creamy cleansers. They never leave my skin feeling properly clean.

In the morning I just splash my face with water when I'm in the shower. I do a proper intense cleanse in the evening. Suits my skin so I don't feel the need to do it twice a day.

Can you research qualified aromatherapists. Get a blend of essential oils that are suitable for acne then put it in a carrier oil suitable for your skin type. Maybe a small organic skincare company would blend it in a cream base for you. You would be surprised at how affordable that is. The cleansing may be too much for your skin.

I use my clarisonic at night with gentle cleanser and water in the morning. The less I do to my skin the happier it is.

I use Angels in the morning about 3 times a week, in the shower (switch to Buche de Noele in winter as it's even gentler). The other days I use No 7 hot ckoth cleanser in the shower. In the evenings I use Ultrabland followed by Lush Eau Roma toner. Moisturiser is random, I try all sorts.

I use a cream clenser in the morning and tissue off, trying to avoid the water from the shower. London water is harsh on the skin and as I love a really hot shower this is not great for my really sensitive face (or so my dermatologist says). but yes I cleanse twice a day, find that my make up looks better if my skin has had a proper cleanse in the morning.

Have you tried their facial 'soap' bar, Fresh Farmacy? So easy to wash your face in the morning and much gentler than using Angels every day. I used it for years when I had acne and it was fab. Very easy and gentle to use.

No.

A splash of water in the morning and a gentle cleanser in the evening. My skin is quite spotty and tends to do better the less I do to it.

No. I double cleanse with Superdrug Vit E hot cloth cleanser and and a soft flannel at night, just splash water on my face in the morning. I think cleansing twice a day for me leaves my skin feeling dry and a bit flaky.

I use a la roche posay foaming cleanser in the morning to freshen up and oil cleansing/cleansing balm in the evening to take makeup off. I get quite sweaty and greasy overnight though, although less so than when I used harsh cleansers.

I have hormonal, spot-prone skin and since I start using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo cleanser and moisturiser twice a day, my skin has been totally transformed into clear, peachy skin - at 41, it looks better than it has for years and years.

While I love Lush, I can think of few things that wild be worse for skin than Ultrabland. I would think that if you are using that, it is pretty much inevitable that your skin will break out.

No. Just water in the shower in the morning.

My skin seems to get greasy/shiny during the day if I use anything else before make up.

Not since I was young and had very oily skin but that was years ago. These days it's a splash of water in the morning and oil with a hot cloth at night.

I used to have very sore acne like skin and what I thought was rosacea.
I fell onto a beauty youtubers channel when bored one afternoon and started double cleansing and using cleansers as liked by paulas choice website.
My routine is now. In the am (or any shower during the day) I use body shops aloe gentle facial wash, I used to use a flannel in the shower but I don't bother anymore just use my hands. I then moisturise with Nivea soft. I used to use very expensive products so this was a bit of a leap of faith for me.
In the evening I use Clinique take the day of balm, this looks like a tub of lard and initially when I started I had very combo skin quite greasy in places so using this again was a leap of faith and against everything I'd done before as it's very oily, I wash that off with a flannel, I then smoother my face in lancome Galatee comfort which is a cream cleanser that I guess most would take off with cotton wool, I don't I wash it off with the flannel. I then wipe with cotton wool clarins gentle exfoliator, I used to do this am as well but my skin didn't like it and then again I use the Nivea soft to moisturise.
I saw a change very quickly and my skin isn't angry or at all spotty, I infrequently get a hormonal zit (maybe once every 3 months but this seems less frequent as time goes on in fact I can't remember the last one) previously I'd get one or two each month and they would scar. It's also more or less normal all over, slightly oilier on my forehead.
But tbh, my skin is not recognisable to how it was before.

I use my Clinique sonic brush twice a day, with the mild facial wash.

Hmm

I have had a few more spots since using it but I put that down to my period being due and that they are also on my shoulders where I obviously don't use the product. Some of them are quite cystic like so now I have had a break from the antibiotics I might go back on them.

I used La Roche Posay in the past and did love it, especially the gel cleanser as it felt so cool. I thought ultra bland would be good for any skin type?

I will give it another week or so and see if it breaks me out more.

Lots of ideas here, thank you.
