I hate mine and am wearing crap clothes as I simply don't know what to wear.
I need to lose weight but in the mean time - can we hide here with our horrid tums??

Steer away from anything low waisted.

Looser light fabrics on top if you are wearing trousers, or flat fronted tunics. Skim not cling.

Or, tights and flared dresses in a good quality fabric.

I am have a bit of excess tum and that is how I do it.

I wear spanx type knickers - everyday :-)

Agree with the skim.

Fitted dresses in a 50s style would disguise it, no? Give you shape & structure from chest to navel & then hiding anything less than toned beneath.

Alternatively, think skimming rather than billowing. Anything too full volume makes many women look larger or even pregnant.

A line 60's tunic/shift style would be perfect & very on trend this season. Perfect to layer up with long sleeve tees, fine knits etc too.

You need to spend a bit more on well cut clothes in decent quality fabric.

Shirt + jumper works well, in fact layers in general provided you keep them non-bulky.

My issue with jumpers are that they tend to be quite short. I'm not really tall at 5'6". I have a thyroid body shape so I've got slim legs and a slim upper chest area but a horrid round belly that sags. If I wear jeans it makes my bottom half look huge so I stick with leggings and jeggings (M&S ones are fab also Next) and tunic type tops that are fitted at the top, come in at my slimmest area under the boobs and then just skim rather than billow. Teamed with a nice cardi it works well.

I have one too, peplum tops are pretty good, accentuate bust arms and skim the tum. Layering, if you have great legs or boobs accentuate those and just stop worrying about it, easy to say but took me a long time to accept.Fat face do some tunics that waist tie for casual.

I wear peacock support shorts all the time and wear jersey column maxi dresses that have no detailing on them. They skim over it and I then layer over the top with slouchy linen t- shirts in summer or jumpers in winter. Peplum are good as are those asymmetric / handkerchief hem jumpers to detract from the apron. Nice slouchy knits work well as well.

Marking place as I'd love to know how to hide mine. After 3 DC (2 born by C-section) I have a horrible apron which doesn't go away however much weight I lose - even at size 8 it was still there.

I tend to wear long tops but don't want to look like I'm pregnant when my youngest DC is 8!

High waisted jeans have become my victory.

Pulls belly in and gives much better shape in outfits.

Yes they're the ones. They come right up to my waist and completely cover my stomach. They're brilliant and they help clothing skim past everything because they come to the top of the thigh rather than in at the groin which can emphasise an apron IYSWIM.

It's a horrible type over hang belly you get after a c-section.
No matter what you do, other than surgery, you just can't shift it.
Just google apron tummy and look at the images.
