Underwear for wedding dress

Sadly I'm looking for the scaffold rather then the saucy kind!

I'm a size 16 with 34F boobs. My dress is very low cut - and has a lace back so I need something quite low at the back (below regular bra strap) I like balconette type bras.

Ideally I'd like a corset type body shaper - something that will make my apple shape seem hourglass.

Any ideas where to look? Budget is around £100.

TIA.

Bravissimo sometimes have basques and bodies which would do what you want.

Thanks for your reply bonzo I've had a look there - I can't see anything that is not full cup (that would be visible at the front of my dress) and that has a low back.

I pretty much want something like Jessica rabbits dress!!

Are you sure you'll need a bra? I was a size 18/20 and a 36G when I got married. It was also the only day in my life since I was....erm.... 12? that I didn't wear a bra.

The dress was so well fitted that I didn't need one (boned, laced, corset-esque style top.

I was stressing about bras, even had a vanity bone sewn into the dress in anticipation of bra-wearing, but in the end I just didn't need one

Yes I think I do - the dress is low and I want to make sure I stay where I am supposed to! I've tried the dress on without a bra and it looks fine - but with a bra (which spoiled the look from the back) it looked so much better.

It sounds like a proper corset is what you're after. No sure how low backed one can go though.

I'm assuming it's strapless and backless, if not there's this and other such similar articles.

How about this? I have it in black and the straps can be worn in a multitude of ways. Back comes down low.

Thanks! Singlepringle that's exactly the idea - but it doesn't go up to my size.

mrslettuce that's bloody perfect! I've been searching for DAYS! How have I not found it?! Do you have special google access I don't?! Thanks so much Grin

I'll order it and hope for the best.
