Jeans that aren't skinny or bootcut

I'd like some new jeans, I have skinny ones and some dodgy old bootcut ones that still look ok with converse.

But I'd like some new ones, mainly so I can wear my Docs again. They've not looked right with jeans for years. In my head they're looser than skinny, but not flared or bootcut. And they're a very light denim.

Is this a boyfriend cut? Or what the jeff is a mom cut? I saw those today, they seem to be quite short.

Can anyone help?

I've just got some GAP True Straight which are quite good. Dunno if they come in pale denim though.

Was going to recommend Gap true straight too - my favourite, legs too curvy for skinnies. But, don't think they come in light denim.

You want straight leg or slim leg - Next do them - various waist styles (highwaist, hipster etc) , fabrics, colours.... Not often found in store, but type "slim leg" into their website and there are loads.

about three years ago I brought a pair or straight jeans from asda for £12. They have out lasted a similar top shop pair and fit beautifully. Asda still sells a similar pair however I have no idea what colours they sell as I only ever buy standard blue.
