I am crap at this kind of stuff. I want flat sandals that have a tiny wedge as I can't wear totally flat shoes (they hurt me). They are for casual, daily messing about wear and I wondered if the above ones are OK or just frumpy frumperson. I suspect the latter so, dear reader, please help. Not much cash, £40 max.

They are pretty vile. It's the wedge I don't like.

depends on the size of your feet - would look boat-like over a size 5. Also look really flimsy and will last five minutes.

totally flat shoes are indeed bad for the feet.

Um not keen.

Don't laugh but am just back from US and am a Crocs convert now. I bought these //www.crocs.co.uk/crocs-a-leigh-mini-wedge-leather/11847,en_GB,pd.html?cid=4I3&cgid=women-footwear ( much cheaper in US) and they are incredibly comfortable and I like to think rather stylish.

Well I really do appreciate the honestly. I have slapped myself around the face for even considering them Smile! I have plantar fascilitis and really struggle to get anything that doesn't hurt and coupled with that I seem to have lost any sense of taste these days! Not a good combo.

fwiw I get plantar fasciitis and find the footglove sandals comfy , but must comfess I do wear fitflops if doing a lot of walking as they are amazing for plantar fasciitis.

Oh and I read the reviews on those sandals.

They have been described as 'glitzy', 'smart' and 'perfect for a cruise'. God, I have turned into a cruise going middle aged frump. Sad

Are they ggirl, maybe they're the way to go then? I really thought it was getting better but it's started to get worse again, I just want it to go away!

MN put me on to FitFlops as a remedy for PF.

I wear them round the house, as they are a bit of a style-bypass - then use Scholl heel gel inserts for loafers/boots outside the house and it's really done the trick, 100%. I think the inserts "guarantee" they'll work which is pretty impressive. Worked for me anyway.

If I forget the inserts the soreness comes back really quickly.

don't tell anyone but I quite like the sandals in your OP

Those Crocs are very tempting.
