Help me decide between these two coats.

I have bought both of these and one has to go back! They are both really nice on hence my dilema!! They would be mostly worn with jersey dresses and skinny jeans with black ankle lace up boots that I got in Aldo a while ago.

BTW I didn't pay full price for the Whistles one, I used the Grazia 25% discount if that makes a difference.

Pity they don't show the Zara one properly closed up. It really is very nice as well.

Is the Whistles one the Funnel Neck Coat?

Both v nice. The Whistles one has a bit more 'wow' factor. Would also depend on how they feel to me so hard to tell just from pics.

They both feel nice, Zara one is probably a bit softer. Finding it very hard to decide.

if you got all that money off it i would go for the funnel one, it's really unusual but classic. the other one is lovely but not as special.

That's a good way of putting it piratecat. Definitely wouldn't have been able to get it at full price. Leaning towards the Whistles one now, would prefer one with "wow" factor!

The funnel one definitely has more wow factor, I love it!

Funnel one is lovely. But model is one scary lady. Can you look like that? All the time?

Funnily enough, I am considering the same 2 coats plus a reiss one which is even more hideously expensive. I haven't tried the Whistles one on yet but thought it looked very nipped in at the waist - did you find that to be the case? Very tempting with the discount. Couldn't justify it otherwise. My last 3 coats have been from Zara and I fancy a change.

I prefer the Zara one, I like the buckles (punk roots!).

Zara usually wins out on quality for me. I think I prefer it as well.

Also, depends on whether you buy a new coat every year or will have it for a while....too "fashion" will date quicker. Will all the leather on the whistles one mark it out as this years coat, for example?

Love the Whistles one, the Zara one is a bit mannish for me. Unless you just want a coat to walk the dog and don't want anything smart!

Thanks everyone. I returned the Zara one this evening. I tried them both on for a friend in work and she thought the Whistles one stood out more. It was a hard decision to make!

Kikidee, thats a coincidence! it is nipped in at the waist but not uncomfortably so. Must have a look at Reiss but definitely won't be buying from them! The Zara one is good quality alright.

LittlePandaBear, the Zara one is very smart! It looks very well on. Pictures don't do it justice.

Sure I've another week to bring back the Whistles one if I change my mind again!
