Looking for an illuminating foundation

I have combination skin & I am 42. I would like to go d a foundation that gives a dewy look. Not too heavy & not too greasy. I am currently using Lancome's teint idole 24 he but it is matt looking. I can't get a match in their Teint Miracle.
I don't mind if it's a cheap or expensive brand.

I currently use Lift Lumiere by Chanel (shade 0.5 Faience) and am very happy with it - it gives a glowy look.

I also find that using a primer/cream that gives a glow under matte foundation produces good results on my normal/dry skin. The ones I've liked are Les Perles Meteorites pearl primer and Leading Beauty Farms cream (I get a lot of higher-end samples), but I'm sure cheap ones would work equally well. Try them under your current foundation?

I sort of agree with Dona but I mix an illuminating fluid into my foundation before apply it. About 2 parts foundation to 1 part fluid. I just use a cheapish illumination fluid from Boots, I cant remember the name but it was under a tenner. I used to use Revlon Skinlights fluid but Im not sure they still make it? I mix mine with my Estee Lauder Doublewear as I like its staying power (I have combination skin and find lots of foundations dont stay put) but want a more dewy effect. Works a treat

I do what Gilly does too. It means I can use as little or as much illuminator as I want each time. I use a body shop illuminator and a max factor foundation and it works well.

Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturiser is lovely I think. I don't tend to wear it as much in the summer as it can look a bit too much but in winter its ace.

Giorgio Armani do a shimmer wash (lots of shades) that I brush on after foundation and this is v glowy. Ck have just brought out make up again and their illuminators are very good.

Decided yesterday I spend far too much money on my face.

I have a Chanel lumiere one but also wear a matte one from no7 and use a Benefit highlighter called watts up. I like changing my look all the time!

The new YSL one is very good. It's a foundation version of Touche Éclat.

For ideas try watching Sali Hughes' very recent video on new foundations. A lot of info there. Google her name and you'll find it on the Guardian site.

Thanks everyone. I am in Australia so I know I can get Chanel & YSL so I will check them out. I will try an illuminator under my current foundation too.

Lancôme Teint Miracle. Like your skin but "lifted" and luminous.
