Hi, in Denmark there is useful thing called Novetts no sweat pads which I use religiously and I've just run out of them. Went to the Boots, Superdrug, Wilkinson and it seems that nobody there has slightest idea what I'm looking for. Does any of you know if there is any shop where I can find them?

Are they dress shields?

I've never used them, but a friend and I once dreamt up the concept one boozy night out and were a bit miffed to discover they already existed!

Are they really good?

I suppose they are dress shields. They go on inside of the dress. I use them every day and to me, they are fantastic.

Same problem here, don't think you can find them in shops. I even tried in pharmacys but I was just offered Anhydrol forte, perspirex etc,.. Most of the pharmacys have never heard of sweat pads. They are either not popular here or not many people knows about them.

I had never heard about them until I read a recent thread right here on style and beauty a couple of weeks ago..... Can't link on my phone but search sweat pads.... Sure they were from amazon and called nonchalonte or something similar....hope this helps.

Thanks Cahu smile

I'm afraid you won't find them in the shops and as Cahu mention the best place is Amazon or directly from nonchalante site on Only thing, if the Novetts are large size and if you got use to them then I'm not sure if you gonna like Nonchalante as they are sort of medium size.

I use to use My Dry which are bigger and thicker then Nonchalante but since I received nonchalante few days ago I kind of like them. Much thinner and more comfortable while my boyfriend would prefer if they were larger size.

A lady I met through work swears by these although I haven't tried them myself. Would be nice to have warm enough weather to induce some sweat!

Sweatex sweat pads - google them and buy in bulk!

Order them all and see which suits you best. That is what I did. They all look similar but perform differently.

FairyPenguin Sun 06-May-12 17:46:58

Wow - thank you so much for this. I didn't even know such things existed! Just looked on Amazon reviews and have ordered some Nonchalante ones. Some of the other makes had reviews that said they were noisy which put me off... I am so excited as this could mean I have a wider choice of what clothes to wear!

I saw some in an haberdasher's.

sannby Sun 06-May-12 19:10:26

It still doesn't make sense that there are several brands available online but no available in the shops.

Underarm pads are relatively new product, for many people still unheard of, but I'm sure it's just matter of time before they find its way into shops. Some people prefer shopping online and if I could avoid paying P&P for every small item I buy, I would be one of them.

What is haberdasher's

returnvisit Mon 07-May-12 09:37:33

Oh dear I'm much more of cheapskate than all of u. I just trim a large plaster to size and stick that on my arm pit. It does hurt a bit when u pull it off of but works a treat!

Panzee Mon 07-May-12 10:57:46

Sannby it was a sewing shop, in with all the buttons, velcro and things like that.

sannby Mon 07-May-12 16:58:01

Panzee, Probably they were cotton pads, the one that you sew onto dress and wash after ( several) use. My mother told me she used to wear those.

Returnvisit, I can only imagine how painful your method it is, but also it's practical, after plaster session you don't need to wax or shave your pits smile

Have been looking for these too, thanks for the links

workshy Mon 07-May-12 21:22:15

can't you see them through your clothes?

Theas18 Mon 07-May-12 21:29:09

Sort of armpit sanitary towels??

Um - gets over the sniggers and can see the logic I guess.

The sew in sort - mum used to have thm as a teen/ young woman - when you didn't wash clothes all the time.

sannby Mon 07-May-12 21:54:27

Most of the time you can't see them unless you have see through clothes.

BorisJohnsonsHair Mon 07-May-12 21:57:15

returnvisit great idea - waxing and sweat-proofing in one grin

Hi guys, it is interesting to see that this matter of underarm pads is still making noises on Mumsnet. A while ago I came across a similar thread on which I was praising the Nonchalante pads, so much I was happy about discovering them (soft, invisible etc..,even my teenager daughters were stealing them from me) and altruistically was giving my secret away, until somebody decided to complaint/report about the whole thread!! Is it a crime to share information, different experiences when we are after something useful that will help us with everyday life.....I personally was relieved with my 'N' pads first time I tried them on, no more cardigans to cover my wet shirt in the hot weather.....and what better place to share the experience than here
