Methinks (judging by photos in Daily Mail) some (most) of those ladies are not on the Style and Beauty thread on Mumsnet though they should be!!!

Ah, don't be a spoilsport. I grew up just down the road from Aintree Racecourse and yes I admit, there are some absolute CLASSIC minging outfits, but the majority of people really do look very nice. It's just that you don't get to see that, because it's easier to poke fun at the mingers.

Maybe we should welcome them all to the thread. Although, I think it would be hard to explain to some of them that curlers aren't a good daytime look and neither is bright orange skin and bum-cracks showing...

omfg listen to the style police here, yeh they may be in minging dresses etc but at least they have got off their backsides and made an effort, with their appearance, even if it means looking like an oversized tango... instead of sitting on their arses and being keyboard warrior like some on here..as for the comment "some arent what i would describe ladies"...lisaro do you know them personally, if not wind ya neck in and stop being so discriminatory..dont judge someone till you live in their shoes

bubble my post wasnt aimed at you in all fairness and i seen your point about the orange tango as i posted that comment as a tongue in cheek...my post is for the comment about descibing thm as ladies...how dare any one make an assumption like that unless they know that person...and have already taken 2 chill pills today thanx so am quite calm tbh...at least those women got off their backsides and made an effort...

Liverpool is its own fashion bubble - I quite like that. I was out in Liverpool last night and there were hundreds of post-races folk out and about - I love seeing the Liverpool 'street style' and am pleased that it exists.

I can't imagine that most of the ladies featured in the annual Daily Mail slag-off article would care much tbh - being fashionable in Liverpool doesn't necessarily translate to being fashionable elsewhere and I should think most of them would prefer to be fashionable in Liverpool than 'approved' by a Daily Mail 'journo'.

Seriously though, I think it's fun, and fashion is about expressing yourself however you fancy, be it orange, hair extended or otherwise!
