Any tips for wearing very high heels?

Just bought some black heels that are much higher than I've ever worn before. They have a platform so don't feel quite as high as they look but I'm nervous of doing a Naomi Campbell in them!

Any tips? Other than to stand still!

Think heel toe, heel toe as you walk. Practise at home and hope for a non frosty evening Grin.

Make sure they're not too big or you'll have the extra pressure of trying to keep them on your feet. Enjoy!

And best of all I had my next catalogue account card in my purse so I just bunged them on there and will worry about paying for them some other time Grin

Dh and I will be walking home which roughly translates to 'I will be carrying dh home down a frosty road at 2am' so I'm not awfully sure these shoes will help. I definitely need to pop some doc martins flatties in my bag for the journey home.

Avoid cobbled or uneven streets, walk on the balls of your feet as much as you can in wet weather, gel insoles are fab and practice, practice practice!

Walk from the hip.

As you walk, think not about your feet and the steps you are making but stand upright and concentrate on your upper body chest/shoulders and look ahead to where you are going. Don't look down. I don't know if this explains but an aunt who was a model in the sixties and lives in heels to this day told me this and it works!

Depending on the heel hight I find I need to go down a size to stop them slopping on and off my feet. Wear them around the house and like others have said practise practise practise. Don't forget your flats, you can buy lightweight roll up ballerina pumps to fit in your bag from ebay.

I had these. Returned them as they were just not the right size. A size up would have been too big.

They are lovely though. Practice and sometimes a wee drink but not too much. Always helps me especially if feet getting sore.
