I am after a dress from joe Brown's catalogue (have to pay P&P for returns as well as orders)and was wondering do they come up true to size or big/small? Anyone had a good experience with them?

I love their clothes, but have only bought plus sizes from them. Haven't noticed them being particularly big/small for size....

I have had some great stuff from there. Do you have a catalogue there is sometimes a code for free postage or returns. I think sizes possibly slightly large.

Polyester city.

I am wearing a Joe Browns top now, and it is 100% cotton. My cardigan is Acrylic, but then I wouldn't want a wool one as I wear and wash it so much.

Bit of a sweeping statement, really...

Thanks everyone. I will try to avoid polyester in my selection, wouldn't want to get static now would I? Or any nasty bobbling Wink.

Redlac, I will try amazon and Debenhams, I might get free P&P, thanks for that.

I've tried quite hard to buy from Joe Browns before and haven't because 90% of their stuff is artificial fibres. Not good for excema. And their stuff is expensive as similar stuff available in cotton or wool.

I am wearing a Joe Brown's coat.. It was around 100 quid from Debenhams.

The style and the fit are great, but the fabric is cheap rubbish and the lining has all come away.

I have bought things from there as love their style but everything has been really poor quality, they don't wash weell, they fall apart and the fabric is really sheap....I wouldn't buy anthing from there again TBH, sorry. (I think that's really what the polyester city comment means!)

They have an outlet store on ebay if that helps?

bag of shite, as far as I'm concerned.
I love their catalogue but the two things I have bought (a cotton shirt and a sort of parka jacket number) have been very cheap looking, crap quality fabrics and a weird fit (am size 14, surely it can't be that hard)
