Tethers-dont hate me!

So..... I have succumbed and bought the dreaded mum bootsBlush Got the clarks orinoco jazz ones in black. They are really not that bad and the best I could see on the high street within my budget. Bit tight though and though I may be a bit of a fatty elsewhere my legs are by no means fat-fairly slim actually. Hoping a bit of wearing will stretch them.

Am I on the rocky road to hell?

They look awfully wide at the calf. I saw some great shorter biker style ones in there

Oh God, I nearly bought those - and they're mum boots?!?!

Oh Pink Sad

I did say buy them if you like them Grin

I'm sure they're fine. I just remarked that the biker boot was fast becoming the new mum-boot.

Remember, you and I have to like opposite things, otherwise the universe will implode. Vive la difference!

Call that a mum boot?

That's a mum boot

To be worn with stonewashed bootcut jeans that are two inches too short.

I can't take this pressure, pink I'm sure they're fine Grin

Trillian, the mumboot you speak of is about to come full circle and will be de rigueur come A/W 12.

In other words, they're so wack, they're fly.

I am waiting for the new look boots to go in the sale anyway as I refuse to pay £50 for boots from there!-though I have embraced new look again after being reassured on here am not too old and knackered to shop there!

I actually did once upon a time consider myself a bit of a fashionista but it is literally since I turned 35 I dont seem to know who I am anymore!-hope to rectify this soon as have persuaded dh botox is the only acceptable xmas prezzie this year!

Trillion ,that link is hilarious.
It is the Paltonic ideal of a mum boot and name so gloriously at odds with appearence, in same manner as that model of caravan that always has myself and Mr moondog shrieking, namely the 'Marauder'.

I am mum boot auditor it being my term originally. I don't even like hiker boots tbh. Too aggressive.
Also don't know what this offensive brown hair is?..

Was on a course last week and two younng and trendy ones were admiring someones black boots ..not unlike trillians link. I looked on in horrified silence.

There are tons on school run. Mostly worn with leggings and tunics.

I am chunky of leg so avoid all chunky boots/shoes. Quite like them though.

I dont think the biker boot will ever become the Mum boot. Have you seen most Mums?
