have never been shopping in city centre before. I have already shopped the entire Trafford centre o no avail so am looking for more boutique independent shops. Please point me in the right direction Smile

Hop on the train and get yourself to Leeds - much better, in my humble opinion.

I normally shop French connection / Karen millen. Am willing to push the host out. Prob not more that five hundred at a push though. I'm in Preston but can travel.

I'd say you'd be better going to Harvey Nichols or Selfridges and asking personal shopper for help. They'd show you cheaper and expensive dresses you'd probably not look at usually.

What about net-a-porter? You looked on there?

I'm in Chester, from Liverpool originally. To be honest I'd try Liverpool too. What's the occasion?

If I were you I'd go for amazing shoes and jewellery and simple but stunningly sexy fitted dress. Let me have a think where I've seen nice dresses recently.... Any particular colour?

Have a gander on net-a-porter at shoes. I'll be honest - I've been to couple weddings recently and some of the women have had dresses worth £££ and looked no better than anyone else however good shoes.... Worth the money IMO. A dress from high end high street which maybe you have tailored to you by dressmaker so it fits like a glove will be just as good.

I like bright bold colours. Not cream with it being a wedding. I LOVE shoes Wink

Btw the shoes need to be strapped on or else I can't walk in them

Now if we're discussing strap ons....Grin

I'll have a little think. I was looking at dresses the other day and to be honest, there's not much about - all a bit "meh"

I've been trying to think of boutiques in Manchester - there must be some but can't think of any! You could try House of Fraser and I'd go to Reiss if I wasn't worried about the cost. Hope you find that dress! :)

Already tried reiss. Only one I half liked sat wrong on my tummy. ARGH! where have all the non chain shops gone??
