I want very casual mid calf boots and I can't make up my mind if these are nice or totally horrible. And I think I may be too old for them (mid 40s).

So go on, be honest I can take it. grin

What would you wear with them

madammecholet Thu 25-Aug-11 18:57:51

Oh sweet jesus megatron they are HIDEOUS....go wash your eyes out and tell me what you're looking for.

madammecholet Thu 25-Aug-11 18:58:27

pamplemousserose : a large bag over her head so she isn't recognised by anyone she knows?

madammecholet Thu 25-Aug-11 19:02:18

if it has to be flat and fur, how about these or even dare I say it these

Megatron Thu 25-Aug-11 19:03:37

Ha ha I LOVE this place! grin

Is there NOTHING nice about them? No? OK then.......

Right, I want casual mid calf boots to wear with slim leg jeans, budget about £70. First one to find me a pair wins ............. nothing. GO!

pamplemousserose Thu 25-Aug-11 19:04:17

I think they are alright.

pamplemousserose Thu 25-Aug-11 19:06:17

I like the OPs ones best. The ones that madame posted are very granny.

Megatron Thu 25-Aug-11 19:07:49

You have me worried now. I bought a pair of heeled boots last week and now I think my taste may be so horrific people will point at me in the street and laugh.

Catsmamma Thu 25-Aug-11 19:10:21

god, talk about ugly as sin

all of those boots are vile!

bigpants103 Thu 25-Aug-11 19:12:51

First pair better than the two recommended!

Megatron Thu 25-Aug-11 19:12:58

Carsmamma well PLEASE find me some nice ones - I'm a desperate woman. (clearly!)

Panzee Thu 25-Aug-11 19:13:29

Fill your, erm... you know!

pictish Thu 25-Aug-11 19:14:47

Crikey - I can see an old woman shuffling about the local pound shop in those!

Sorry....you did ask.

madammecholet Thu 25-Aug-11 19:18:44

Ikwym, they're not my taste, pamplemousserose, just better than the originals...

I'll try again. I don't have a weird obsession with those other boots, honesstly.

MugglesandLuna Thu 25-Aug-11 19:28:39

The ones in the OP are awful, and I have bad taste in shoes. A pair I onced likes and linked to were called 'Lesbian Troll Clogs'

Megatron Thu 25-Aug-11 19:30:54

I'm not crazy about any of those madammecholet, most are out of my price range too. (You made me buy a Lucia remember? bread and water for me til Christmas!) wink

thefirstMrsDeVere Thu 25-Aug-11 19:31:19

Those first ones made me laugh.
Because of the things listed underneath as 'people who viewed these also viewed...'

One of them looks like a wedding dress.

I am all for eclectic dressing but .....grin

HandMini Thu 25-Aug-11 19:33:34

Megatron - I like the boots on this site - http://www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk/ladies/ladies-sheepskin-boots/ Or are they all too Ugg-like?

deepfriedcupcake Thu 25-Aug-11 19:42:47

Megatron - I like your second choice much better. Actually I think the first ones could just about be okay if you could tame or trim the small animal currently living in them.

FoundWanting Thu 25-Aug-11 19:48:28

Has anyone bought asos own brand shoes/boots? How does their sizing come up? And quality? Their dresses are a bit hit and miss.

I'm tempted by these.

earlyriser Thu 25-Aug-11 19:50:14

mustang
