Foundwanting - I want these tho - but have yet to make the leap to opaque tights with them - is a key S&B question. Opaques with this kind of sandal is trendy - but is it too trendy??

carvela

A most acceptable work shoe, voice

The second ones are very, very nice. I can't do sandals with opaques because I am old and people will just think that I have got it wrong . I would have to do bare legs and a good toe-nail colour.

Found - I couldnt agree more. But how old is too old?

Report
FoundWanting · 06/06/2011 12:22

I'm 43, and that is too old for tights and sandals in my world.

I keep going back to your second link. I want them too. They would go with everything, nice platform so not too high, good foot support. Smile

I clicked on it too. When I read kooky shoe I thought irregular choice or united nude or maybe someone conservative describing a Bondagey Tabitha Simmons shoe.

Can't possibly share today's footwear with you without explaining in my defence I am in hosp awaiting induction :) it's ugg flip flops & they're damn comfy too!

Hi - Im 42 so i suspect i am also too old - unless i am getting smashed on WKD and smirnoff ice ;-)

But they would go with everything and i am lusting after them significantly. I get terrible shoe envy. net-a-porter makes me want to sell a kidney for some louboutins

How exciting, Thornykate Grin (the induction not the flip flops).

You could show us your dream shoes though. Just to offset the trauma of that thread.

Oooh Found - what a good idea - let us shun the fugly shoes and only post items of beauty.

For when i get whisked away to a luxury yacht in the carribean...summer personified

Those black ones would be so much more useful than python skin.

And a whopping saving of £370, it's almost as if they are giving them away.

Indeed - my point exactly. For the same money you could get the louboutin espadrilles and the carvelas. Now that is a bargain

FoundWanting · 06/06/2011 12:34

I like these for yacht-based activities. A wedge is the only way to go on deck I feel.

voiceofnoreason · 06/06/2011 12:39

Oh I agree - all seagoing operations require a wedge, but the espadrille is the way forward

Report
voiceofnoreason · 06/06/2011 12:43

Like these espadrilles

Bloody shoe porn Grin

These are for an evening at the casino in Monaco. Accessorised by Daniel Craig.

I can't divulge my latest purchase until they have arrived. If they are truly awful then it can remain my shameful secret and no one need ever know.

Well seeing as I was already thinking of Tabitha Simmons I have been wanting these for a lifetime & still can't afford them even though theyve been on sale for ages.

For this season it would have to be these I am lucky that my ankles are quite slim so I can get away with ankle straps.

What I really need to do is start finding a sensible happy medium between flip flops & skyscraper heels!

That is an award-winning espadrille and I bow to your obvious expertise in this field.

Now, imagine our yacht has moored in Puerto Banus and we are off for cocktails.

A happy, holiday colour, perhaps?

Hello, Miss. I really need to see your shoes. They can't possibly hold a candle to the ones on the other thread. I promise that if I don't like them, I will not say a word.

Thornykate those yellow ones are absolutely wonderful. You must be very leggy. Envy I'm far too stumpy of leg for so much strappage.

Those jimmy choo brights are lovely too. I really NEED some new brights after all this window shopping.

Due to expense of baby/ mat leave I will probably end up with these which do look much nicer in real life.

Nicer than the picture that is. Unfortunately not nicer than the jimmy Choos or the DVF Hmm
