Am I too old for these boots ? I'm a bit scared of them but want them.

I'm 34 size 10 and usually a boden/joules/white stuff, safe but fairly boring stylie type.
Have recently been trying to relax my look and look a "bit more funky" as my DD puts it and wear boyfriend cardis and layered tops with straight leg jeans with either ballet flats or calf length brown boots.
Have never been able to find a pair of biker boots that I liked but have been eyeing up these but will they go with the above or will I look a tit like mutton...

Whaddya reckon?

I like them!

grumpypants Fri 19-Nov-10 13:47:28

No they are beyond horrible. The buckles are too big and shiny. Please don't buy them. (Sorry)

hmm. I love biker boots but I'm afraid those clips on the end of the straps look a bit Bon Jovi circa 1987 to me......

Heathcliffscathy Fri 19-Nov-10 13:48:50

there are many many nicer biker boots out there...imo

Heathcliffscathy Fri 19-Nov-10 13:49:29

no no no no too manly

BirdyArms Fri 19-Nov-10 13:53:18

I love them, ignore all this miserable lot. They will look great with straight jeans.

DramaInPyjamas Fri 19-Nov-10 13:54:31

I practically live in biker boots, but don't really like those ones.
They're a bit goth cowboy if you ask me.

ChickensHaveNoLips Fri 19-Nov-10 13:55:26

Not keen on the oversized buckles, but do like biker boots for stomping about in.

gegs73 Fri 19-Nov-10 13:55:35

I really like Biker boots generally but the buckles on these ones look abit too big. Biker boots are great though and would look good with what you plan to wear them with.

Fimbo Fri 19-Nov-10 13:56:09

No, those buckles look like you have kitchen knife set tucked in there.

MerryMarigold Fri 19-Nov-10 13:58:49

I don't really like them. I think Joe Brown's have some nice boots. Maybe in brown it would look a bit softer.

MerryMarigold Fri 19-Nov-10 14:00:34

These are [ cowboy boots] but I like them in brown.

MerryMarigold Fri 19-Nov-10 14:01:00

oops, sorry cowboy boots

Mincepiefiend Fri 19-Nov-10 14:01:30

MerryMarigold Fri 19-Nov-10 14:02:56

MerryMarigold Fri 19-Nov-10 14:04:32

Sorry, my links aren't working, but you can browse around Joe Browns. They are funky!

stillbobbysgirl Fri 19-Nov-10 14:08:23

you will look like you are on the way to an eighties revival night in these - sorry

Mincepiefiend Fri 19-Nov-10 14:09:33

Thanks Merry I didnt know Joe Browns did so much footwear, what is the quality like?

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat Fri 19-Nov-10 14:10:00

biker boots - yes.
Those biker boots - no.

LoudRowdyDuck Fri 19-Nov-10 14:10:36

I think the only people who'll buy those are those who think they might be for young people. Sorry.

There are far nicer boots out there.
