I think I would have preferred not to know... Why oh why did your DH not throw the bristly bit away??

Jimjams - my mum always used to say to me that eating a little bit of dirt never did anyone any harm!!!!

And look on the bright side - at ds1 is helping out with the housework!!!

yuck indeed - I don't know if my ds does anything with my toothbrush. but I keep getting mouth ulcers.

Mieow he was awake so he could have told me! Soupy - my question precisely. He said "oh I left it in the sink to sterilise later" I said something along the line of "sterilise? wtf? bin it!" He was stopping at Sainsbury's on the way to work to buy me another toothbrush

DS3 was sick in my mouth yesterday (baby sick so doesn't really count).

Because he is a man! They do DO notes under any circumstances.. the reading of them or the leaving of them!!! Grr!

Jimjams, my sister told me a few years ago (!) that as children, she regularly brushed the DOGS teeth with my toothbrush! For years!! This may make you feel better, as it is arguably worse that one encounter with the toilet.. when you consider what dogs lick.. and eat... bleuuughhhh!!!! Sympathy though!!!

Yuck! You would have thought your dh would have warned you... then again, mine probably wouldn't!

MandM I think they are teaching ds1 cleaing in school. He keepos mopping the table (and everything on it). Flooding the kitchen and pouring washing up liquid ovber the clean clothes (and everywhere else). I know his school concentrates on skills needed for independence but this is ridiculous!

Jimjams - sounds like the kind of school that every male should have to go to!! Don't discourage him when he's in Mrs (well, Mr) Mop mode - you will only regret it in later life!!!

SJ, yoiu're sister's confession about the toothbrush has me LOLing!!!!!
Jimjams, I saw a programme once where they analysed contents of toilets/sinks etc, and the conclusion was that the toilet is actually cleaner than most people's dishcloth!

moondog · 22/03/2005 09:59

OMG, spelling and grammar make me look like a 1/2 wit!!!!

The thought of that is so disgusting but I can't help laughing about it. The baby sick reminded me of DH holding DD1 above his head to make her giggle. "Who's Daddy's girl then?" he asked but before he got out the last word she was very sick in his mouth! Strangely he didn't play that game again..

DS is very fond of cleaning too. Not used a toothbrush but face cloths can't be left within reach.

Oh no JimsJams! Bleugh!
It might be useful to have a toilet cleaning ds though, even if it with your toothbrush!

Report
moondog · 22/03/2005 10:46

You all know that you shouldn't keep your toothbrushes within 10 feet of the lavatory as every time you flush (with the lid open) a fine faeces infused mist settles on everything, don't you??

Did you know that erm... blow-offs... farts... foofs.. excess wind passed from the the anal passagw (whatever you call it if your house! ).. is actually very fine particles.. of.. excrement. So when you can smell it, you are actually breathing bits of it right into your nose!
