Usually lurk on special needs, but have had a look around tonight. Think I will stay with the nice, friendly lot!

Have done this really badly.
The thread title was:

You can always tell some women are childless by the fact that they....

I usually only look at SN and SEN but have started having a laugh at some of the gifted and talented postings.

I peeped in and got the hell out of there pronto without posting.

Any thread will do

I think it's much easier to state your opinions on the SN board because other posters tend not to jump on you if they disagree. There is more respect on this board. I find the other boards often descend into catcalling and disrespect very quickly.

don't mention velcro cows (or caramacs)

There have been a few vicious fights on here, but they're few and far between and helped by being a little bit hidden.

I suspect we all have enough shit going on etc etc.

What a pathetic thread. It is brutal here sometimes (MN, not SN). Some people do have major chips on their shoulders, but really....

And why is it acceptable for the "tres famous on MN" to post some things / start some threads, but not the rest of us?

Me too. I only stick to SN now. Much more cuddly and helpful.

And now there's a P&T vs disabled spaces bloodbath discussion going on

Report

Where's the bloodbath? I like to read but I'm way too scared to post on most of them - the smallest thing can kick off an argument!

lol at Jimjams. I'm actually quite enjoying that thread, although it has turned into 'my child will get abducted at a petrol station' thread (another MN classic).

jimjamshaslefttheyurt · 24/08/2008 13:44

I think if someone abducted my children they'd return them pretty quickly

I was joking about the stickers to identify cars wrongly using P&C parking spaces !!

oh, yes, JJ. I got accused of being a troll on that thread for my pathological hatred of lazy precious princessess P&C spaces .

i don't have a blue badge now, and man, am i grateful!

that was NOT a fun time in my life.

as for the sneering thread, yeah, um, some people have way too much time on their hands to notice others so much and need one of my nice, big glasses of Get Over Yourself.

or perhaps a day out with one of our kids .

do people really take their children out of the car when getting petrol!!!! wow people like making a song and dance about stuff.

(I did ask the RAC salesman at asda what do I do if I break down, I know you are supposed to all get out of the car and go to a safe place. wtf do you so about a person in a wheelchair)

Report
MannyMoeAndJack · 24/08/2008 18:15

Quite 2shoes - there would be absolutely NO WAY that I could let my ds get out of a broken down car on a motorway. He would cause an accident! I hope this never happens to me (or indeed, to anyone who is driving my ds). He hates it when the car stops and he cannot tolerate being alone in the car at all. I really don't know what I would do but I would hope that the AA would prioritise my case and send along a recovery van very quickly.
