So... no one interested in some interesting facts about female sexuality, and how this study shows that physically, females are greater turned on by stranger sex, to a greater extent than partner sex?

But that women deny this.

So, it would seem, it's social conditioning holding back female sexual urges.

Eh, you knock yourself out reading hackneyed articles that are just an excuse to put titillating soft-core pictures in a magazine. There's nothing new in this "research".

I want everything I have now, and a bit more quality uninterrupted sleep. Sex right now would just interrupt the little sleep I get.

I want...

...global female emancipation.
...equality of opportunity for women and girls.
...someone to manufacture tights that don't make me want to cut my own feet off.

I already knew that, beach, I thought everybody did!

And, yeah, what the others said about money, holidays, gender equality, etc. Plus my health back and a high-spec car, please.

Buy bigger tights, Slap, it's a revelation Wink

Well, tbh., assumed you were a troll, especially at 4 am.

Anyway, re: the groundbreaking discovery [blah] that female sexuality is "not the rational, civilized and balancing force it’s so often made out to be — that it is base, animalistic and ravenous" ... er, the belief that female sexuality is dark and dangerous and nigh uncontrollable is very old. Like, Adam and Eve old. That belief has been used to curtail women's autonomy for a very long time.

Who the hell has painted female sexuality as rational and civilized, ever??

And why does female sexuality need to be one or the other? Next are we going to be getting a treatise on madonna sexuality (calming and wholesome experience, almost like meditating) vs. whore sexuality (feels like being eaten alive by a cheetah)? That'll be an interesting twist.

Keatsie... ever realised there's more than one time zone?

Or I could have been up doing a feeding session. :)

Either way, the article seems to say, that physiologically, we are like the beasts, yet due to cultural and societal norms, we supress this and conform to male strictures.

But ok, most other replies here glibly go straight past the point and make glib remarks without reading, or thinking, about the article.

Yes there are

...sorry.
Yes there are other time zones but you're posting on a site based in the UK, you must know that.

Personally I find the research of Dr Robert Winston in this field very enlightening and far more understanding of the social pressures that have formed us.

True dat, it's hardly new news.

The Evo Psych types are in a bit of a tizzy I suppose.

I feel I'm cheating the thread though, because it's not very different from what a man would have wanted.

What I really want ...
is a wife
a chauffeur
a gardener
a housekeeper
a personal secretary
someone to change my sheets every day
someone to open a couple of letters I really don't want to deal with

Does that help?

Report
TheFabulousIdiot · 11/03/2014 10:27

I could post a list of what i don't want. Would that help?

A cuddle in bed, my head rested on a comfy chest, fingers being run through my hair n whatever rubbish is on Tele (im demanding me! And so expensive)
Alternatively Leonardo DiCaprio or usher would make me very happy :)
