Oh my goodness, how grey is this house?

It's a fashionable colour at the moment, but that is a LOT of shades of grey (not quite 50 though).

Nice house though, I like the downstairs bedrooms and upstairs living with the amazing view. I think if it was mine it might introduce a little more colour though.

A link would be helpful. Grin

That's depressing! I am a bit sick of this grey trend - sorry to offend anyone keen on it! But to use one quite distinctive colour so much in be house is just a bit unimaginative, isn't it?

I saw a house on right move that was for sale near me recently which was almost entirely decorated in duck egg blue. Thought it was hilarious then ended up picking dd1 up from an after school play time at a friend's house and it was the duck egg blue monstrosity! It was just as overwhelming in real life as online.

I don't think I cold have a bath in that bathroom. Scary.

Lovely rest of house though.

I find the hallway particularly odd, I think because the flooring is GREY wood effect. When do you ever see grey wood?

That's such a depressing interior for such an expensive house!!

I don't mind a bit of grey but some of those pictures are like something out of a Tim Burton movie.

It's a bit of a shame that even the little kid's bedroom hasn't escaped the grey! I'd like their big garden though, and those views.

I like all the colourful bits - the yellow bar stools for example, and that bright teal picture. They'd look quite nice against white walls. But grey walls, floor and kitchen units? Bleugh. So cold looking as well.

Really Viva? I've just checked the link and it comes up ok for me. If you click on the main picture of the front of the house it should bring up a pop-up and you can scroll through all the photos.

Found them. I quite like it, apart from the sitting room.

Horrible! The bath looks like it's in a prison.

It would be a lot nicer in white

I love that room at the back looking towards the mountain over the gorse. It looks so sunny.

I quite like it. Very calm and understated apart from the massive rose print in the bedroom.

I love it. I'd get shot of that hideous red rug and I'd put colour into the bedrooms but I'm quite a fan of the downstairs.

Not sure about that bathroom either though!

Bloody awful. I will not have a single grey thing in my house. I live in Edinburgh ffs, I see enough grey.

I think what has happened is that it's fairly normal here for people to stage their house when it goes on the market, and I think they've got in a designer and asked her to make it a show house. It would probably be fairly quick to change it's character completely just by painting it. I'd have to change the flooring in the hall as well, I really hate that.

I can picture it when I look at the photos. In the hall I would put down warm cherrywood flooring. And I would paint the right-hand wall Olive, and the other walls Gin and Tonic (both from Fired Earth) and maybe paint the front door the same red that's in the stained glass.

The kitchen is all wrong because the units are a dated style "revamped" in a "contemporary" grey. Just doesn't work.

'its character' not 'it's character', I know it's not done to comment on grammar, but it's my grammar and it was annoying me.
