Love this house. Think it should be a museum though rather than being modernised.

Link not working, think you've put the"here" in the wrong place?

AntoinetteCosway Fri 22-Nov-13 17:26:35

Can't use the link.

Wow - amazing! would love to see that restored. Really rightmove should insist that the estate agents go back in a year or 2 to retake the pictures so we can all see the result!

any better?
Love the house by the way, but would have to do something with that bath!

It only needs a lick of paint and it would be perfect

AntoinetteCosway Fri 22-Nov-13 17:30:55

Many cross posts! That's beautiful.

Flibbertyjibbet Fri 22-Nov-13 17:31:28

Oh please please please don't let it be bought by someone wanting to just gut and modernise it.

I could just move into it as it is smile

RunDoctorRunQuiteFast Fri 22-Nov-13 17:32:07

That is really gorgeous, but can I have it for that price and moved to Berkshire please?

MrsPear Fri 22-Nov-13 17:32:24

What a wonderful. I really hope that it does not get all ripped out.

3xM Fri 22-Nov-13 17:32:44

Wow that's amazing how untouched it is. Reminds me of a girl i went to school with who lived in the house built by her grandfather, probably same sort of vintage as this house. It had the original gas lights and carpets and everything.

Makes me sad to think just how many houses that have had the heart ripped out of them in the name of modernisation. That house is just lovely.

OddFodd Fri 22-Nov-13 17:35:38

Wow - that's fabulous! Rewiring, replumbing, new kitchen, new bathrooms - £100k to get it habitable?

17leftfeet Fri 22-Nov-13 17:35:45

I think they need to refuse to sell it to anyone who plans to modernise, split it into flats or turn it into a business

custardo Fri 22-Nov-13 17:36:55

can you imagine how wonderful that bath would look

Tractorandtree Fri 22-Nov-13 17:38:14

I'd so love that, shame it's not somewhere nearer London

senua Fri 22-Nov-13 17:39:00

Aw, look at the windows in the other half of the semi.sad

OddFodd Fri 22-Nov-13 17:41:08

I agree 17leftfoot.

I really, really hate the way people ruin houses with vile, cheap double-glazing angry

crypes Fri 22-Nov-13 17:41:36

Why arn't they showing the kitchen? I bet that's too awful to even show.

Beautiful - and v near where I used to live.

pearlgirl Fri 22-Nov-13 17:42:20

My gran had a bath with a surround like that but it was oval and huge - it was a great treat to be allowed a bath in it as a child because it was like swimming.

MummyBeerest Fri 22-Nov-13 17:42:57

It's like Beatrix Potter as a house!

I love it!
