large floor tiles in tiny bathroom?

Design help please!

Having our bathroom redone in a week and I'd chosen these

http://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/vinyl/14834/polyflor_colonia_balmoral_grey_slate_4534_vinyl_flooring

But dh has finally got involved and thinks they'll be to big for the bathroom (they are 8" × 24"). The floor space we are covering is only 1.8m by 1.3m so 2 to 3 tiles per row.

Any ideas if this will look rubbish or not?

I like the tiles, I think to get the effect of tiles you may want smaller but if you like them don't think it would look rediculous!

less grout lines will make the room look bigger, I think they will look fine. Why do men always come along at the last minute and put a spanner in the works ? Grin

it will look great.
small room, big tiles my fil says.
he used to be a builder and fitted our new beautiful bathroom with large floor and wall tiles which make our titchy bathroom look almost like a royal banketting hall.
