Mmm, I had a bump that I could feel at about 18 weeks, but didn't really become noticeable to the outside world until about 24 weeks

Emma - funny - I just posted to see if I'm fat or showing!

I know people that looked pg at 13/14 wks but none of my trousers fit me at 12.5 even if no one else has noticed.

do you feel different?

Millie I cant do my trousers up anymore, but have only gained 2lb since becoming pregnant! I know nobody else can tell, but it already feels like I have been pregnant forever with still no sign of a bump...very frustrating!!

If I get a bump by or around my 20 week scan I will be happy...will be gutted if it takes longer though! I am incredibly impatient...who decided our gestation period should be 9 months?!?!?!?!

Hiya, im 29 weeks now and have had a proper bump for at least the last 12 weeks.

Before then my stomach began to harden just under my boobs, this was the start of the bump.

how exciting...some 16 weekers!!

Is it true that it can just appear overnight?!

Sometimes I feel like I go to bed one night and wake up the next morning much bigger, maybe that is just my imagination though.

Somedays I don't feel that big until I catch a glimpse of myself sideways in the mirror

I'm only 10 weeks and it already shows, but then this is my 3rd pregnancy. At the moment I think I have more of a bump than I ever did with my first. I just looked like the back end of a bus then and never actually got a bump.

6 and a half months - I was delighted not to have a big bump early on! In the end I had a 45 inch 'waist' and was heaving it round in the heat - Oh I wished it had been smaller.'

I know it's may sound weird to some, but I took a photo of my bump and boobs each week, from chin to knees, side on, and I have that as a momento - I stood in the same place and it's like stop motion photography. I'm glad I did it, as we only have the one DD, and my pregnancy will always be such a special time for me.

congratulations on your pregnancy - hope it all goes well for you and the birth is easy also!

I think I also want a bump because I associate it with feeling bambino move...which would be nice!

I am properly getting ahead of myself!

7 months (proper 7 months so 31.5 weeks plus as opposed to 28 weeks+ (have issues with this nonsense of counting 4 weeks as a months and saying pregnancy is 10 months long... no it is effing not!)

i remember because the lady in the pharmacy noticed i was preg and congratulated me and i was really pleased as even then it wasn't a big bump and i'd been despairing of anyone ever noticing.

with ds i was huge by 14 weeks and looked like i was about to burst by 7 months!

with this one i'm 19 weeks now and have a little bump, i got a bump really quickly but it's only rounding out now and noone is noticing unless they know i'm pregnant.

emma, it's possible to feel the baby move by about the stage you are for some women. i was 12 weeks when i felt flutters and 14 weeks when i could really feel thumps.

try sitting back on the couch and laying your hand on your tummy with a tiny bit of pressure. it helps if you've just had a cold and/or sugery drink as that can stimulate baby.

don't panic about it as lots of people feel nothing til 21/22 weeks but it can be fun to try and feel it.... kills a few hours in the evening

With my first I retained a lot of water and had a tum at 9 weeks so they thought I was having twins and sent me for a scan. My actual firm bump appeared aroun 15 weeks.

This time round I didn't have a bump until about 24 weeks and was still able to get into my normal jeans at 29 weeks. Now at 34 weeks the bump is big and unmistakable.

My mum managed to stay in her normal clothes until she was 8.5 months and then only needed to move to the next clothing size. I was 4.5lb at birth and in photos taken 3 days before I was born, she had the tiniest pot belly.

Everyone and every pregnancy is different I guess.

15 weeks and definately showing a bump big enough to get offered a seat and was flat tummied before this.
Thought I was having twins was so shocked how big the belly grew and did not eat anymore at all in fact was so ill ate less rather than more as could not hold anything down. Just started to go and at 15 weeks I look huge.

Someone said it must be a boy then!!

16 weeks now and although my clothes all fit OK(ish) there's a definite mini-bump which has popped up in the last few days. That said, it still looks like a muffin top to the uninitiated and I think it will be a while before it fills out so I definitely look pregnant rather than tubby! But I love looking at my new shape in the mirror, and think a photo is a cool idea. I have also started resting my hand on my bump
in a slightly possessive manner.

Mind you, a friend of mine got drunk at the weekend and kept stroking my not-very-protuberant belly and saying 'I'm so happy for you!'. Which was sweet for the first 15 seconds. I'm not looking forward to people thinking they can cop a feel!
