Pregnancy

5 more weeks. I can't do this! 😭

Oh my. I haven't got 5 more weeks left in me. 34 weeks and having a c section at 39, but sweet Jesus I'm tired. My son is 3 next month and seems to be developing the terrible two's quite late. My back is just about ready to give way under the pressure of my gigantic baby (measures 5lb 2oz at 32 week scan). I have another scan on Monday to check her growth, if my back is hurting now, it's gunna be so much worse in 5 weeks when she's even bigger. I have developed Carpal Tunnel syndrome like I did with my son and I can hardly move my hands for at least half an hour in the mornings and it's painful throughout the day.
Sorry for the moan. Anyone else struggling?

Yes:( 9 weeks to go and it's baby #4. I'm really struggling with the kids 4, 3 and 2. I keep hurting myself and overdoing things in the process of rescuing them or stopping something dangerous and then I feel so angry with the pain and worry I've hurt my bump again and want to cry. Poor kids are getting my sharp tongue too much. Luckily they'll sit and cuddle lots too but my back is at me when I sit, horrible ache radiating around my left rib. I've always had easy 3rd trimesters but this one is very different. Very big bump, very very low. Huge pressure. Sometimes I just can't move around with the pelvic pain and size of me.

Pity party over.

Awww poor you. I hope the pregnancy speeds up for you. My ds is 9 months old now but I remember how uncomfortable I was and it didn't help that I had to be induced and they couldn't do it until 42 weeks!
At least you have your c section date Hun and you're almost there; just need to get through this last final bit. Just think once your baby here hopefully you won't ever have to go through it again. Also high hwo cute your 3 year old will be with a little brother or sister!
I found pregnancy so uncomfortable I never understand these woman who love it to be honest. I'm over the moon now my body feels like it's finally back to normal-ish and it's taken a while.
5 weeks seems like and eternity when you're in the thick of it but you will meet your baby soon & how exciting!!

Thank you so much both of you. Everyone seems to sail through pregnancy and I'm just sat here all moany! Haha. It's good to hear I'm not the only one to struggle. I'm hoping I go into labour before my c section to be honest, but my son's birthday is Christmas day and I'll be so upset if I miss it by being in hospital. I'd be missing his Christmas and birthday in one swoop. 🖓

Nearly 4 weeks to go for me, I'm just wanting baby here. The heartburn is the worst and my back is beginning to ache a little.

You got this!!! 🙌🏼

TheEdgeOfGlory266 Hopefully it'll happen on Boxing Day instead for you fingers crossed. Your little ones are going to have very close birthdays which is cool; wouldn't it be strange if it did happen on the same day; stranger things have happened.

Just to spur you ladies on - I had ds at 35 weeks and trust me it's a lot less stressful when they still in there!!
Enjoy the last few weeks and it will fly by!!

@Bella8 our baby planning is terrible. You'd think we would have tried to avoid Christmas!
@Tinselistacky I was saying this to my husband earlier. I'm really looking forward to the end but I know she still needs to cook for a bit longer.

When is your c section booked for? I'm booked in for 14th december.
How trust worthy are the belly measurements which are done by midwife...mine is making out I got a 13lb baby growing inside! Midwife wont send me for growth scan because I'm booked for c section. If its right no wonder my pelvis feels like its breaking

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 23/11/2017 21:31

@HAYZ0 29th of December as it stands. The midwife measurements are rubbish. They made me think I was going to have birth to a record breaker with my first... he was 7lb15! This time round I'm having growth scans, not sure how accurate they are but I think they're a little more so than the tape measure. I see my consultant after my scan on Monday and she will decide if she needs to come earlier.

I'll just ignore it then. Been hard to know what size baby clothes to buy this time round as I dont think i will need new born. My partner said if we do he will rush to shops and get some or send my mum lol. My last baby was 8lb 6oz so I'm guessing maybe 9lb plus.
Hope growth scans all ok.
Wont be long now we just need to somehow pass time

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 23/11/2017 21:41

@HAYZ0 we just need to keep busy. I haven't bought any new born this time, but like you my husband said if they are somehow wrong, he will just go get some smaller bits from the shop.

Haha well I really just think you deserve your Christmas dinner this year at the very least before giving birth.

Report
Bella8 · 23/11/2017 21:43

I kind of regretted not getting any newborn with DS. Despite him being overdue and measuring bigger it was all fluid and he only ended up being 8 pounds 1oz. 0-3 swamped him because he was really long and skinny.

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 23/11/2017 21:50

Hmm. Maybe i should just grab a couple of newborns just in case.
I was gutted I didn't get a Christmas dinner when my son was born. My husband got 3. He went to my mum and dad's, then had my crappy hospital one and the went to home mum and dad's!

Aw I feel for use, I was in agony 8 weeks ago. I’m so glad it’s all over with,ha. Last 10ish weeks are hard work 😒

I had growth scan 2 days before my induction, I was told baby was 7lbs and out popped 9lbs 2, dread to think what size baby would have been if I went over.

Use are nearly there, enjoy your maternity leave and napping! Thankfully mines sleeps through the night but I’d love a wee day nap 😁

Fingers crossed you get your dinner this year! Missing one Christmas is quite enough I think...

I feel you! I'm 34 weeks too. Due 3rd Jan. have PGP and terrible heartburn. I'm so so tired all the time. My 2.9 year old has massively regressed with the huge progress she made with potty training a few months ago and I have a horrible feeling I'm going to have 2 in nappies in a few weeks! I just want to get Christmas out the way but I'm not even close to finishing my shopping!
