When did everyone have there first?

Sorry im new to this

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

My first was 36 weeks. Contractions started at 32 weeks but we managed to keep him trapped in there for an extra month.

My sister's first was 37 weeks.

Most people I know were 40+ weeks with their firsts though.

Friend recently went 10 days overdue with her DS.

I'm 30 weeks tomorrow, but I've been having Braxton hicks my midwife said and I'm measuring quiet big.
Yesterday I had the poops and I've heard this is a common sign of early labour too.

So naturally I'm a bit worried

39 weeks exactly and a really quick labour. My midwife told me I was measuring big and that the baby would be at least 9lb Shock, luckily she was wrong (7lb 1oz). Smile

38+3. I'm not sure if my HGwas a contributing factor. I was also told at a scan the day before that he was over 8lbs at 38+2. He came out at 7lb1oz

I'm hoping baby holds out a little longer but he/she is laying really low and its starting to hurt slightly

Not sure if I'm being dramatic. As I've never been preg before

Try not to worry too much.

Braxton Hicks are perfectly normal. They're also quite different from actual contractions.

Always call your midwife with any concerns but try not to worry yourself. Flowers

Went in to labour at 38+5, DS born exactly a week early (42 hours later) Hmm . He was 8lb 3oz so glad he didn't stick around for an extra week or so!

40+1 here! Braxton hicks from about 32 weeks and diarrhoea on and off for the whole 3rd trimester.

Wouldn't worry too much yet op Flowers

I was 4 days early with dd1 and she was 9lb12oz!
10 days early with ds - he was 9lb3oz so very glad he came when he did!
dd2 was born at 36+6, but that was an induction.

A week late for me with DS1

40 wks is an average because women gestate naturally for slightly different time periods. Both my sister's kids were born at 37 wks (naturally, no complications) as that's her gestation period.

So anywhere between 37-42 weeks is totally normal
