I'm looking at either the Chicco next to me or the snuzpod....does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you! x

I had the chicco and it was my star buy. Although he was my pfb so nothing to compare I guess.

I loved it, it's the only baby related item we are keeping in case we go for number 2.

I have the snuzpod and absolutely love it. She's still in there with plenty of room at 6 months.

I had the chicco next to me with my first and will use it again when my second arrives in December. I love it especially as I was breastfeeding it meant my daughter could be close to me and I felt it was big enough to last until about six months and could be used as a travel cot

I brought a moses basket and wish I hadn't and just got the next 2 me.
We purchased it this week DS is 10 weeks and it's amazing and he slept like a dream in it!

I've been wondering which to go for too OP. With my last baby I had a cotbed size cosleeper (the Mamas and Papas Close and Cosy) but I sold it as we didnt plan any more babies. Im now expecting DC3 and looking to get something smaller and bettee this time. Overall the fact that you can raise and lower the side on the Snuzpod without detaching it from the bed is leading me to favour the Snuzpod, although Im not sure how much I will use that feature. I suppose it would make it easier to leave the baby asleep if you got up first in the morning (without worrying they might wake and roll into your bed and then onto the floor) or to put the baby to bed without having to then go to bed straight away yourself. I also like that you can lift the cot section off the stand to use elsewhere in the day.

I have the Chicco next2me crib. I also have a sleepyhead. Love them both. Dd wouldn't settle in a Moses basket.

I have a second hand snuzpod (new mattress) and chose that as you can unzip the side to slide them in and out and to just peek at them. Love it. Also have a sleepyhead which I don't regret buying one bit!

IKEA Gulliver with one side removed and bolted to your bed! £65 plus mattress - about to use it for DC2 and can highly recommend

Yes we had a Moses basket with our first too but he wouldn't settle in it and we ended up co sleeping so we sold it!

Hi Ive heard the Snuzpod can be annoying if you use the side because the zips can wake the baby up, Chicco good if youre looking for travel cot in one. Have you checked out Babybay, they do sell additional side rail. (turns into a high chair with a kit you can buy later on too). goodluck with choice x

We have a snuzpod for 2 reasons- I preferred it aesthetically but also when looking at them further the snuzpod is the highest, and the only one that goes high enough for our bed! We got pursued second hand and bought a new mattress.

In the end it has pretty much just ended up as the world's most expensive bed guard as DS would only sleep nose to boob until we got a sleepyhead.

I had the Chicco Next2Me upstairs and a Moses basket downstairs for the day time with my first, and will be doing the same thing again with this baby.
I think the Chicco helped with the transition on Dd moving into her own room too because you can put all 4 sides up. We gradually moved it further from our bed and then kept her in it in her room for a few weeks before we moved her into the big cot

We are hiring a bednest again, was absolutely brilliant last time and only about £70 to hire for 7 months. Obviously has to be used properly though

Have a Snuzpod - it's nice although I wish there was an easier way to raise the mattress for reflux (can't raise under the legs so had to put blankets under mattress) although I am sure that is true of any bedside cot. We had to choose cot based on footprint - if I remember rightly the Chicco is bigger? I keep the zips open in my Snuzpod unless the older kids are about.

Forgot to say our Tiny Love mobile which LO loves doesn't fit very well on Snuzpod if that is a factor. We have kind of had to do a hack.

I've been considering both and am going for the snuzpod purely because you can zip/unzip without faffing with removing the bed attachment. Also prefer the look of the snuzpod when I saw them in the shop but I know that doesn't really matter

I went for chicco as its larger so lasted longer

Zips up and down really easy which is handy in middle of night

Also my cacoonababy fittes in it for baby to sleep in for first 4 months

Salene - I've heard that the Chicco can't be zipped down on one side without re-attaching it to the bed. Is that true, or can you just do it easily in the middle of the night?

I would love to know this too Salene!! I like the idea of the larger sized Chicco but for this issue.

No that's not true..?? It zips from top downwards , I've never had a issue zipping it up and down in middle of night when my son was in it

It zips up and over the bar , sane at other side and bar and material just come straight down if that makes sense

Should of said also there is a lip of material at bottom to stop baby rolling out and bar and material just tuck in between that and your bed mattress if you want to keep side down.

I have the Babybay and absolutely love it (even though we've mostly ended up bedsharing so it's become a very fancy pillow holder/book stand a lot of the time...)

We have a next to me and I have a sleepyhead inside it as he likes to feel cocooned. It's so easy having them butted up to the bed for feeding them during the night

Like emsyj I'm leaning towards the Chicco because it's bigger. Figure it will last longer.
