Affordable bf bras

I have already spent a small fortune on bras during this pregnancy as my breasts have grown lots. I am now 37wks and thinking of buying nursing/feeding bras. I had a fitting at Mothercare but find their bras really uncomfortable and the staff were quite unhelpful. (I didn't buy any in the end) Where can I get affordable bras in bigger sizes? I do like bravissimo but not sure I can afford to get more bras from there.
Also how many do I need? I am planning to bf for at least 6 months.

I went to Bravissimo as I think they really know how to do the fitting. Could you not get fitted then buy else where?

Seconding Bravissimo, but could you get fitted there and then purchase elsewhere once you know your sizing?

I found that after about 3 months my breasts didn't feel full all the time so I could swap to a normal underwired bra and just pull the cup down. I'm 36FF so not small but it works fine as long as the bra cups aren't cut too high.

Get fitted and go buy them online. I got fitted at m&s and bought mine a size up as they've not grown lots from eBay but brand new m&s nursing/ feeding bras

Just get two yo start with. Likely that you'll need to do washing most days anyway and size will be all over the place at first.

I got stretchy ones geom john lewis

I got some really nice ones from Primark £5 - loads more comfortable than all my others!

Emma Jane ones from Figleaves - start at around 11 pounds and are very stretchy and comfortable. Figleaves also has underwired bf bras (I've got Cake and Anita ones) which are more expensive but good if you want something with more shape/support.

I can't ever find bras that fit (due to my shape), however I searched high and low for something as I knew I'd need it in the coming months and finally found the Bravado Body Silk bras (about £28) and have bought one, then bought another (they are that good!)! They don't come in a specific size, so are flexible, provide good coverage and are exceptionally comfortable and I've decided that they'll be my daily bras from now on Wink They also come with a plastic bit to turn them into 'normal' bras for when you don't want to feed anymore.

I probably wouldn't recommend them if you have a very large bust, as they might not provide that sort of rigid support, but it's worth a go and a lot of the websites selling them do free returns if they're not comfy.

Figleaves also have a good sale section if you are short on cash! Know the feeling! Good luck

I second Bravado seamless bra. Used them throughout first pregnancy and while breastfeeding my DC1. Pregnant again and did not look for anything else this time. They are extremely comfortable.

I ordered a very cheap one from Amazon to get me going. It was about £6, was a pull-sideways type, with a slot for extra pads. Can't remember the brand, not one I'd heard of but began with M. Came in colours and patterns rather than dull beige like my normal bra.

EBay have sets of brand new m&s feeding bras, one white and one black, for around £9. I think they are excess stock that a few people have bought up and are selling on for a small profit .

I have 3 sets so 6 altogether and they are great, very comfortable and wash well. Under £30 for the lot!
