Pregnancy

I have had the scan, and for once I don't feel totally crushed

Nothing's changed essentially, but the good news is that baby is now head down and will hopefully stay that way, the amniotic fluid level is now within normal range, and I will be allowed to give birth spontaneously and naturally as things stand now. Smile

Doctor did offer to induce me if I wanted to, but I said no.

Will have another scan in two weeks' time, to see how things are then, unless of course I go into labour beforehand!

Thank you all for taking an interest in my ongoing saga.
Hard to believe that this pregnancy is ever going to end...

Hi emkana - I've been reading your threads and hoping for the best for you. How many weeks are you now?

Oh that is good to hear Emkana.

Did they say that the amniotic fluid would cahnge when you've seen the doc's before?
could it be a sign that this little one is ok and the doc's have it wrong??
I saw your thread the other day where you said that a neice or nephew had the same sort of head measurments as a baby but is fine. Could it be that this is what is happening for your little one??

Ah, I was hoping this was you. Good news, and I hope it's the first of many signs of hope.

Thank you all.

Lady thh, I would so love to believe that, but the doctor didn't mention anything of the sort and I try not to go down that route because I forbid myself to think too positively! Sad

Wish you a wonderfully mellow and quick and easy birth. Smile

Emkana - good to hear that nothing new / bad / conflicting / confusing has been thrown in! It sounds vaguely re-assuring that the amniotic fluid levels ahave stabilised to a 'normal' level.

No Lady THH you didn't upset me, not at all.

It's just so seductive to follow that train of thought, and I don't want to allow myself to think that way.

Emkana no real joy for you but I know you posted on my thread about my sister (I am chicagomum btw) and I just wanted to let you know that she gave birth this morning to a boy. One of his kidneys is very damaged and will never function, but the other appears 100% normal, so as long as urine output is ok he will need no further treament. I know this doean't change your situation one iota, but I thought you minght like to hear the good news. Still thinking of you as always.
