I was the cheerful soul moaning yesterday about my agonising hips and very kind MNers pointed out that it could be PGP.
I begged a physio friend-of-a-friend to see me first thing this morning as we are going away for a week and I wanted to get some support and help from a physio.
She said it was indeed PGP, exacerbated by a long walk I did at the weekend. Very helpful, suggested all kinds of things the MNers have already suggested in terms of keeping hips square etc... much less walking :(
BUT she also suggested a mattress topper to cushion the bed. Has anyone bought one, and if so, what kind? John Lewis ones look wildly expensive but I can't put a price on a good night's sleep at the moment (well, actually, I kind of can; they are almost 200 quid which is really a lot to fork out). Amazon has cheaper ones for less but I don't know how good they are - they are the memory foam kind.
Anyone tried one and have any brand reccs?
Thanks so much.
