Basically that is it, husband and I have been trying for a few months. Had tingly breasts, cramps, spotting, feeling icky etc. first response I did first thing this morning had very faint positive line - clear blue digi this afternoon not pregnant. Period due tomorrow. Do you think i just need to wait a few more days for it to show. I thought clear blue was the most sensitive? Any help/ advice/ experience

false negatives and quite common but false positives very rare! Fingers crossed for you :)

You are supposed to use your first wee of the day as later on it becomes more dilute so you might get a false negative, especially before your period is due.

Test again tomorrow morning?

In the meantime, tentative congratulations! Grin

If you take the clear blue digital to pieces you may find a very faint line - too faint for the digital stuff to read.

Yes, I did do this. And the very faint line is now in Year R.

Thanks Jeee - did this and there was a faint second blue line but not sure how it all works on the inside of the digi one! Guess it is just a waiting game!!! x

Has feint positive first response and negative clear blue digital currently 36 weeks pregnant. Did another digital test a few days later it then came up as positive. I would suggest a line is a line ... So congratulations!

Digital tests are less sensitive than non-digital ones. I know Superdrug tests are sensitive, as that's what gave me my first strong line.

False positives are extremely rare, unless you leave the test for a few hours (even then a positive may still be a positive!) as they can develop an 'evaporation line' which isn't a positive at all. The brands which use pink dye are less likely to show an evap line.

Sounds to me like you are pregnant. Congratulations.

This is exactly what happened to me too! We ended up buying 7 different pregnancy tests because we had a clear blue negative and a very faint first response positive and they were all negative except the first response one. But then realised they say you have to use first wee of the day. Did another clear blue digi test the next morning and it was a positive!

So...a long winded way of saying that it sounds like you are pregnant! Try again tomorrow morning with the first wee.

Good luck!

With ds2+3 we could just about make out a very very feint line.

A line is a line Wink
Sounds like you're pregnant Grin

Agree with what's - false positives are rare. Wait a few days, if you can bear it and try again.

Really hope it's good news for you Sunny!!!

Thank you - this has been a bit of a rollercoaster as had some some significant cycle problems for a while and when I said a couple of days ago period due tomorrow this was based on a very loose guess as had 1 day of bleeding about a month ago and nothing for 3 months before that. anyway because of this I did contact Dr as (longggg story!!) there has been a worry of ectopic quite recently. Anyway ended up with blood test which proved pregnancy and clear blue finally saying yay as well. Just going to monitor my hcg levels for the next few weeks but my gut feeling is this is all good and my gorgeous son will hopefully be a big brother in 7-8 mths time!
thanks for all the responses! xx

Congratulations! I did a CB digital test before I went on holiday earlier this year and it came up with 'Not pregnant'. Three days into the holiday I still wasn't feeling 100% so did another one, which came up with "Pregnant 3+". I was actually 6 weeks pg by that time, which was a bit of a surprise but one that I'm now quite happy with.

Woo-hoo Sunny!!

Big congrats! Hope pg goes smoothly for you. x

Hi girls,

I am only 16 years old. I have the implanon in my arm and I started spitting and did a pregnancy test because for the last few weeks my boobs have been so sore and I have the worst abdominal cramps, anyway, I did a first response pregnancy test and it came up positive but the line was very faint. The next day I did a clear blue digital one and it said not pregnant. I then opened the digital one up and it had 2 lines and the second line was as faint as the first response one. Could I be pregnant? I need help Blush

Usually if you have a line, even a faint line, that means you are pregnant. Sorry if that is not what you want to hear. It is not unusual to get a negative test in the very early stages of pregnancy.

The best thing to do would be to contact a family planning clinic who can do another test and give you support.

Ignore the tests from just after you had sex. You won't get a positive test for 10-15 days after sex.

If you have a recent positive test you are likely to be pregnant. Get a pink dye test (such as first response or Superdrug). Do it first thing on the morning and you should be confident of the result.

Hi all, any advice appreciated. I'm 3 days late so took a test this morning which came up a faint positive and same again at lunch. Got all excited so took a clear blue digital and it says 'not pregnant'. Feeling pretty deflated right now!! Xx

I am really confused I've had faint positive with first response also clue blue early detection!! But I keep getting Not Pregnant with clue blue digital!! I am so confused Confused

I think I read the hcg level on a first response is 25 and the Clearblue is 50 so it could be that your levels are between those numbers
