hi everyone, I know the official guidelines is no alcohol in pregnancy, but just wondered what general consensus was from ladies on here? I am really torn, I am pregnant for the fourth time, one DS and have lost two babies. I am only 5 weeks pregnant and have a few events coming up over the next couple of weeks, including a wedding, a champagne afternoon tea, and a special birthday celebration for a family member at a posh restaurant.
Due to our previous losses we haven't told anyone that I'm pregnant again and I'm keen to keep quiet until after the 12 weeks scan. I don't feel i should drink while pregnant, but equally I know not drinking will be a dead give away. I'm really worrying what to do, even saying I'm driving won't work as usually have just one, even when driving. When I was pregnant with my DS 4 years ago, I had the odd glass of champagne and wine, I think the guidelines were 1 or 2 units a week then, if I remember correctly, however I know they have changed and advise is no drinking while pregnant.
What has everyone else done?
Thanks x
