I have six weeks left too pinkyp - when are you due? DC1 is due on 25th Nov (a girl so we were told!). The weeks have been speeding away since 28W! I am crapping it!

Yes I have 16 weeks left, so a bit more to go than you, OP, but the realisation hit me today like a train. I am well over the half-way mark now and it's the count-down rather than the count-up now!

pinkyp- does the 'knowing' make it worse? I'm trying to convince myself that it being my 2nd, things will be a lot easier! Maybe I should be panicking more! Grin

Am due in 10 weeks (DC2) - realisation hasn't really kicked in yet as I'm so busy at work just trying to finish what I need to. however, I think I am quite happy in my bubble of self inflicted denial for now Grin

I have 9 weeks left (although probably turn into 11 weeks as my babies are usually late !).
2 of my children have birthdays in the next few weeks, as well as other close family memebers. I have family comming to visit/stay for 5 days next week, also we have a holiday to Center Parcs for a week in 3 weeks time and Xmas is looming !
I'm am prepared and organized for none of it, just starting to panic a little now !

Arrrgh! I was sitting back, smugly thinking I had many months to go, I calculated 14 weeks until DH 'kindly' reminded me that we had 12, not 14 weeks to go! Have put everything on hold till maternity leave starts. Anyone else feeling shocked and startled?

pinkyp - good luck!

oh no well i've no idea what to expect (beyond stories from friends/ family) and books. Trying not to panic myself by imagining the best possible situation/ birth (ha - as if that will happen!)

Also feeling so crappy have been for a few weeks now so although i'm so nervous abut birth, i can't wait to get it over with, have my lovely little girl here and feel better!

On Monday I have 2 weeks to go Shock

Been told by the consultant that she will now let me go over my due date so could now be in labour on dd's third birthday - baby could even be born on dd's birthday Shock

I have, however, organised all the presents and things for dd's birthday (think I'm in nesting mode), I'm just not sure when we will actually be celebrating it - poor child!

lordy....just realised in response to this post that as of saturday I'm on a 9 week countdown which, on the one hand sounds like ages, but this month is zooming past...its my first DC too so am starting to worry. At work for the next 6 weeks but feeling rough today so not looking forward to it.

I've started the xmas shopping this week - dawned on me that, although I'm due before xmas, it could appear anytime around those weeks so I need to be prepared. I've also started to stock up on nappies, wipes, pads, nipple cream....hmmmm.....nesting much?!

Oh God I just sat and watched birth videos to 'prepare me' for half an hour. I've changed my mind...HELP!!!

rudbekia I'm due 13th Dec so you must be due just after me... it's all whizzing past really quickly. I'm working up to 37 weeks and REALLY regretting it now - I'm knackered!

I've started the Christmas shopping and am keeping my fingers crossed that he puts in an appearance before 25th!

We've just covered labour and breathing in our antenatal classes - that was a bit of a wake-up call!

giddywithglee I'm due the 18th Dec. Am also working up to week 37 which is probably a bit daft - I'm only part-time though so its not so bad, but even so my energy levels aren't what they were! The xmas pressies will all be sent out beforehand - probably with the cards - then whatever happens DH and I don't have to worry! Got a labour and birth class with DH on Monday.....I'm more worried about his reaction in truth!

I've got 10 weeks to go too! Although I'm convinced it'll be more like 8. Working for a while too. Hope to get the nursery painted by begining of November...so much to do still!

Happy countdown everyone Smile

I've got 8 weeks to go... not ready! We've got dc1 2nd birthday just before the new baby and then Xmas straight after. Better start buying presents NOW.

It's got to be easier the 2nd time round??

I've got 2 days to go till due date. Was really calm and trying not to think about labour but now suddenly I am crapping my pants and thinking, I don't mind if he stays in there to cook for a bit longer! It's my second baby.
