Your cat - is it allowed everywhere in the house?

mine do seem to think they need to sleep ON a bed.

In the day, she can go where she likes but at night she is put to bed in the utility room where she has her bed and access to the garden.

She is currently asleep on the kitchen chair, later this afternoon she will sleep on the lounge chair and then when the kids have gone to bed she will sleep at the top of the stairs.

She isn't allowed in the fridge or the kid's cup cupboard but that doesn't stop her sneaking a look in. She will also get in the cupboard under the stairs given half a chance.

its terrifying if you are on there reading stories..then you hear this scrabbling adn see two paws, then you see two furry ears c r e e p up over hte duvet

She went through a stage of always sleeping on DS2's bed and under DS1's duvet but not for ages. She used to sleep on my bed at night until the day I found out I was having DS1.

Yup, anywhere. Beds and clean piles of laundry are fave spots.

Ours isn't allowed in the sofas or any of the bedrooms - although if we leave a door open he loves to sleep on my daughters bed.

no bedrooms. prefer not the sofa either. the cat rarely comes in the house, actually, which is fine.

i think he goes into other people's houses.

DS2's bed is current fave for daytime snoozing.

Ours are generally allowed anywhere within reason - I will shift them off clean washing or the beds but only if the duvets are turned down.
They have a couple of favourite spots that they sleep most of the day - I've got covers over these areas which catch the hairs.

At night they get put outside or they walk all over us in the middle of the night - and if we leave the door open for them then the kitchen floor looks like a scene from a horror film in the morning!

Of course - by 'anywhere' I'm excepting places like; on the kitchen work surfaces, on the dining table, in the cupboards or fridge, in the dishwasher etc.

Our cat can go anywhere except the kitchen work surfaces. She always sleeps on either mine or DD's bed

My middle one and the youngest one sleep on the bed with me and the eldest one sleeps under the bed on an old pillow.

The youngest one has to touch me as well so he invariably ends up curled up in my arms.

The oldest will lie at the side of me on the sofa when I'm downstairs.

They all go where they like except on the worktops.

Ours aren't allowed in bedrooms so we keep the doors shut. My mum decided to wedge the door open when visiting and was outraged to find a cat on her bed. That's why we don't wedge the doors.

Ours are allowed anywhere in the house (except on the kitchen table/worktop when I am there to see it) but they are rarely actually in the house. I have no idea where they are now. Little buggers.

We used to shut ours in the kitchen at night (we could sleep 2 floors up and not hear them protesting). Then we moved house.

It was only the week after we exchanged that I sat up in the middle of the night and realised that the whole downstairs was so open-plan that we were fucked. They sleep on the bed now.

Everywhere!If I buy anything new furniture wise they sit on it and look at each other as if to say 'Look what they got for us!'.They also sit at the empty dining chairs at teh table most nights while we eat like 2 little people!

I should have said the cupboard under the sink, not the stairs. She also likes to have a noisy around the garage and a couple of weeks ago she sat in the middle of the kitchen table. She has never done it before and she just sat there like it was the normal place for her to be.

When she was tiny she would be in all sorts of funny places and I spent far too much time looking for her.

When we stayed with friends she liked to chill in their bidet.

She is elegant, clean, well-wormed and de-fleaed. In fact she is probably less of a health risk than the DC

She has a fascination with the dishwasher for some reason.

Yes, everywhere apart from DD's bedroom (the guinea pigs live in there and cat2 would just torture them all day long, cat1 isn't arsed) and the spare room (so I don't have to constantly change the clean white bedding because it has black cat fur on it.

Lola has started to climb through DD's first floor bedroom window. There is a wooden pergola beneath it but even so it's quite a jump and DD is growing tomatoes and peppers in a trough on her window sill so a tight squeeze too. She likes to sit in there intimidating the rats. But they are getting blase and I swear they taunt her now.

cat2 also loves dishwasher and anywhere he can't quite fit. He loves the chair in DD's bathroom.

cat1 is more obvious and loves a nice comfy lap.

Ours isn't allowed in the bedrooms as she leaves muddy footprints and fur (and fleas last summer) all over the beds. She's found a private corner in the playroom she likes to sleep.
