Breakfast suggestions for 1 yr old

My DS has taken to eating his breakfast at around 1030/11am and although he enjoys fruit then, he needs something to give him some energy as well.

He enjoys fruit loaf, but not sure he should have it everyday. He is just not interested in cereal at all, even though I have tried several and failed after a few bowls as he just refuses it.

Suggestions please before I go to the supermarket tomorrow.

Pancakes? 1 egg, 1 cup of SF flour, 1 cup of milk, whatever fruit you fancy (chopped or grated)

my little one loves crumpets! Or you could try a boiled egg and soldiers now he's one.. or a banana sandwich. Hope you find something that works... oh, last suggestion, a baby portion fruit salad.

If he likes bananas, what about banana bread or muffin?

Or you can fry a chopped banana in butter, then add a splash of orange juice and some cinnamon. I got that recipes from an Annabel Karmel book but DS still really likes it with some yoghurt on top. You could sprinkle some cereal on top to make it more substantial.

All 3 of mine ate porridge with fruit puree on top at that age. Or a handful of dried fruit.

Ds went through this phase too!
We tried
weetabix
cow an gate baby cereal he like the banana museli
ready brek
fruit purée pots
yoghurt
scotch pancakes
muffin
crumpet
toast
jam
fruity bread/ toast
fruit
smoothies- yoghurt mixed with fruit purée
scone
hot crossed bun
dry cereal

think that's all. The bready or yoghurty things were most successful

How do you make scotch pancakes (the holdable things)?
My 1-yr old will only eat firm food that he can easily hold anything else, including sandwiches, gets squished and thrown over his shoulder (usually landing in his hood!).

The recipe I posted earlier gives you a good thick batter. They are fairly firm!
