Have now tried this out 3 times as has mil and it really works.
If you get fed up with cut flowers withering and dying within a couple of days, try putting a 2p in the bottom of the vase. My lilies lasted 2 weeks before they needed chucking out.

This top tip was bought to you courtesy of the Big Issue seller outside Waitrose on Holloway Road in London btw

I love TOP TIPS - they make me roar with laughter in the magazines my mum sometimes buys. Like how to keep your silver gleaming by sticking in a bowl with a goldfish or a magnet or something, I can't remember! But anyway, let's have some more!

My gardener says putting them in lemonade has a similar effect. They last for ages.

roses don't like lemonade, other cut flowers love it though

pmsl LGJ! He's very inexpensive or I'd not have him here, but he has helped the state of our garden considerably cause we're so crap at it! He only comes about once a month for £15!! But you're right ............. not worthy, not worthy

Very sorry to hear that sm. I have been following your threads on your situation and have been worried for you and your family. I really hope things get resolved soon. Is your dh OK?
