Our local greengrocers are closing down today and moving away..they have three shops and are closing this one to 'downsize' as they are approaching retirement.
I have seen , and chatted to them pretty much every day for the last five years but don't really 'know them' iyswim.

I've got a card to take round but am at a loss as to what to put in it!?
help!

Are there any words on the card, i.e. printed on front or inside?

No, I think you should record yourself singing 'put a lime in your coke you nut' and enclose the CD. Saves writing anything.

Alternatively you could serenade them as they close on last day of business with the same song - dressed as a lime. No?

Nice touch, multicoloured writing.

In fact, you could turn the inside into your own elaborate work of art (far better than Mondrian's) with the message, speshly now you've started with rainbow text!

'Just to show how much I appreciated you being there'

Shall be serious now...

well... I just wrote
'We have loved your shop ,and your chat, who else can I discuss gas prices with at length!?
wishing you the best of luck for your new relaxed life,
love.....'

hehe..
wonder why i worried so much about such a trivial thing!?
she gave my baby a couple of kisses..and a harmonica and whistle, and a big bag of veg and fruit..
how lovely!
