Just wondering when you first ovulated and also when you had your first period following miscarriage?

I'm currently 9 days post my d&c.

Hi, i recently had a miscarriage and it felt like I ovulated on around day fourteen (from start of mc). I am expecting my first period in the next day or two based on that.Flowers

Hi I had a period within my normal timescale after an ERPC a couple of years ago. So eg probably ovulated 11-14 days after ERPC, then period 28 or so days later. Then periods pretty regular after that. Hope you're feeling ok, sorry for your loss. Hope you have some time to take it easy and rest. (Am currently doing bedtime with 20mo dc3... Stress free pregnancy after the mmc, best wishes to you X )

Thanks.

Just did a pregnancy test, and still a faint positive. Don't think I'll be ovulating soon :-(

I still had a faint positive at ten days, I checked again at three weeks and it was gone. I did feel the telling signs of ovulation at fourteen days so you never know. Though having said that I haven't got my period yet, though have calculated today or tomorrow based on previous cycles.

I still had a very faint BFP at 11 days post ERPC, BFN 12 days post ERPC then ovulated at 14 days post surgery. (My period arrived 9DPO but that's another story). Your body can gear up to ovulate with HCG still in your system. Not sure how regular my periods would have been going forward as I had a BFP again 8 weeks after my ERPC and am now 6 months pregnant Smile

An update on my own situation-instead of my period last night I had the most incredibly painful cramps which went on for a couple of hours I think. But no bleeding. Having googled it seems like this has happened to lots of people. Still feel a bit rubbish this morning.

Whatabanana I'm 16 days post MC at around 4 weeks. I'm wondering if my preg test will come back negative now?

I'm loathed to keep buying expensive tests so I've ordered some internet cheaps.

Hi, the hospital gave me two cheap ones but I used them at a week and then ten days (curious!) so had to buy my own at three weeks (only £3.50 for a two pack from morrisons though). I had reached eleven weeks but never had really strong symptoms so did wonder if something had gone wrong much earlier. You should probably be ok to test now I would have thought. Are you going to try again? My husband doesn't want to but I am really having trouble letting go.

It's so hard doing the tests isn't it? Felt rubbish doing mine :-(

whatabanana could it be ovulation pains you had?
It is tough to decide to TTC again after such an ordeal. I was 13 weeks when I had my d&c, and baby stopped growing at 11 weeks. I think hcg peaks around this point, so maybe it takes longer to come back down?

smellsofelderberries congratulations on your pregnancy. It's lovely to hear there is light at the end of this tunnel.

hopeandsunshine123nidntou have bought a few cheap tests, I would go ahead and test. I too have a few cheap ones and plan on testing again in a few days.

Hi, they were like the worst period pains I have ever had, I did used to get really bad ones when I was young and had just started. Or like labour pains. I am going to see the GP next week anyhow so will bring it up then.

It's completely confusing. I've got opks (cheapies) and they have come up positive the last 5 days. So I think the hcg must still be in my system. And it's that the opks are picking up.

We are trying again, started after I finished bleeding. Gp advised no medical reason not to and that I MC naturally. Plus I didn't want to wait, age is not on my side!

I will test when internet ones arrive and then a week later make sure it's fading!

Hi. I MC'd in April last year. Spotting and a few heavy bleeds, baby was too small for dates and no heartbeat at 10 weeks. I had an ERPC at 13 weeks.

IIRC I had some bleeding after ERPC, which stopped after a few days. Period came as usual after 4 weeks or so, so must have ovulated around 13-14 days post ERPC. We be it a couple of months before TTC again, and our DD was born at the start of April. It's a traumatic time but there is a light! SmileFlowers

I had an ERPC at 14 weeks after the foetus stopped growing at 8-9 weeks. I think I bled for nearly 3 weeks after and it had just about trailed off then in the 4th week I got my period. No idea if I ovulated while I was still bleeding from the op, and my period was much redder and longer than before I was pregnant. But my cycle seems to be progressing as normal now, so hopefully will be fertile and can try again. Although it all seems much more serious and less fun this time round, I was completely unprepared for the miscarriage and it was such a surprise (only found out at the 12 week scan that there was no heartbeat, everything seemed fine until then).

I am 19 days post ErPC and still getting positive preg tests. I have been at my wits end to be honest as to why they are so strong when I finished spotting/bleeding over a week ago. But todays was much fainter so fingers crossed. We want to start ttc asap so it's good to hear that even those with positive tests went on to ovulate soon after as I've been wondering if it's going to take ages!

With my previous two MC they were natural. With my first I had a period 4 weeks later and with my second I found out I was pregnant 4 weeks later and went on to have my beautiful DD. This time feels different though Sad

I had a MMC (at almost 13 weeks) medically managed 6 weeks ago.

No idea re ovulation, but had a positive OP stick (first time I ever used one) 2 weeks after miscarriage- but I also had a positive pregnancy test too, and I've since read that the OP test picks up the pregnant hormone.

First period (I thought) was exactly 1 month after the miscarriage, but it was so light (thought I'd got away with the period from hell that I was expecting) although it lasted 1 week or more.

Then it seemed to finish & a few days later started a very heavy period indeed.

So really, 6 weeks post-miscarriage I suppose.

Just waiting for it to end (still v heavy 4 days in) so we can get on TTC after wasting almost 5 months...in some ways wishing i'd just had a natural miscarriage at 7 weeks or whatever, instead of thinking I was almost in the 2nd trimester.

Really have no trust left in my body whatsoever!

Big hugs turquoisedress. It's so frustrating. I've got all signs of OV cramps, pains, ewcm. Thought I would do a pregnancy test. And it's still showing positive. 18 days later.

I'm frustrated. I'm not pregnant and I want it all to stop and clean slate. Never really understood how much it would drag on. Just that I wanted to start trying asap!!!

Lost all trust too. I'm all over the fecking place!!!

I'm still getting positives hpts too. They are fainter but still positive. I got a positive Opk today but guess that's just the hcg being picked up. I honestly could cry and scream with frustration. Not only have I had to go through the MC but now time is going by and I can't ttc. Being older and with fertility problems time is not on my side.

It's all so frustrating. My previous mcs were natural so had no idea a Mmc and ErPC could play such havoc with my body!!

It's super frustrating. Hardest thing ever. How far gone were you littlepooch?

I'm testing again in the morn so I can make sure they are fading. Was never told to do that at epu!!!

hope I was 11 weeks when we realised that is was not good news and around 13 and a half weeks when I finally had the ERPC. Did you test this morning? If you did I hope it was fainter for you (seems so weird to say that). Mine was fainter again today so think my levels must be dropping now day by day.

I wasn't tracking my ovulation, but I got what felt like a proper period exactly 4 weeks after my m/c. We decided not to try again for 2 cycles, but on my third cycle i felt ready, we tried and DD was conceived Grin.

Wishing you feel better and lots of luck to all trying x

Yeyyyy hope it's sticky 5star.

Tested, definitely fainter. Thank god. Tis weird saying that. I had horrendous pains yesterday I'm attributing to OV. I told hubby and he had a glint in his eye but I'm just like no....I need some physical time.

I was bleeding last weekend and then the fortnight before. I feel drained and very squiffy. I've started agnus castus today to try and get some balance back to the hormones, as they are totally nuts.

Glad yours is fainter too littlepooch. When will you start trying again?

After my last miscarriage I went about 7 weeks before my next period. Conceived the next cycle though so worth the wait!! Good luck for a speedy return to normal x
