Think of it this way.

The children can get on a train which is great fun for them, you can take them for lunch and a play and then take them on the beach afterwards (weather permitting) it will be a great day out. Plus there will be loads of lovely children to play with.

All I can suggests is some snacks the disney CD in the car to sing along to and the thought of some peace when you get there.

Best of luck

Thanks everyone. We're having a party but more for grown ups than babies!! I'm iin Canterbury so perahps we could meet here one time - I don't drive either. How do you manage with pushchairs and subways to get on a train? I nearly went headlong down the stairs last time I treid it!!!

I either bat my eye lids and look helpless near the station staff or I talk loudly to dd about how unhelpful everyone is these days and how there are no real gentlemenm left in the world. That usually does the trick

Bump. This Friday then! Can I ask, of those who are coming, have you all had chicken pox? And what about your kids? If everyone has/ doesn't mind if they get it, then I will almost certainly be there. My ds had it last week, while he isn't infectious any more, my dd is likely to come down with it before long and they are infectious for a couple of days before there are any other signs they have it. I don't want to expose anyone to it if they'd rather I didn't. Let me know.
