it seems to be raining every day for about six weeks.
: (

last night it was choppy, but because we're in harbour, it wasn't as rough as out to sea. wish i could afford to go sailing, but maybe next year.

this year am trying to get fit and doing surfing lessons. been practising swimming to build up upper body strength and hope that rowing will help too. surfing is fun, but i'm quite nervous about getting dumped on!

do you surf rosa?

Hi all. So glad i found you, anyone mind if i butt in??
Just moved to Truro (6 wks ago). DD just turned 1, DH at work, and i know NOBODY!! Not desperate or anything, promise!! Doing lots of things with DD (Caterpillar music, storytime at library and baby gym thing) but would love to get to know other mums :-) (to talk about things other than babies/kids too, darling things though they are!).
Will keep an eye on this thread if anyone wants to chat - quick info on me (so people can run away scared if they want - ample warning!) - am 30 something!, used to work as a vet nurse and hope to go back part time at some point, love going to the gym, reading, music mad, guilty pleasures are reading Heat magazine & listening to MEATLOAF (i blame my dad!). I also use brackets too much when typing! God, this sounds like a lonely hearts ad....

Hi all, hope you are at last enjoying a bit of sunshine at last, not shy but then it's a way of meeting new mums!

I'm in St Eval near Padstow. Happy to meet new mums in the area, have a 15month old daughter. Started a new business called MIni IQ which is a great way to meet new mums and earn extra cash and share some great books games and toys with the family. It's a great money earner. Anyone fancy hearing more, then please let me know otherwise, be nice to get to know a few new people!

Paula

Rosa - why are you Italy? Do you have a job there?

I love Cornwall, but i could cope with going to Italy every so often!

Hello, everyone else!

School at the moment is trying to shoehorn Oyster Festival into it's day. making a boat out of cardboard with sail!! Just find that a bit wierd, i mean how many kids actually like oysters?

DS is already asking when christmas is! When is Aunty's birthday? When is Halloween!

You would have thought we had done nothing together all summer [sigh].
