Following on from the Midlands thread, there were quite a few Worcs people interested in meeting up. I think we're set on the Hive, and 25th/26th Sept are out. So how about 27th/28th/29th Sept?

I can walk to the Hive between lectures depending on which day you're suggesting. 28th am would work for me but not 27th, or 29th. Good choice of venue Smile

Ah Ha. Just got all dispondent thinking I could do none of those - but I was looking at October [duh]. Currently working from home all three of those days, so could legitimately pop in to the Hive (which I have never been in!) at some point.

oops [must learn to read calendar] - I could do the 27th or the 28th, not the 29th.

I'm not sure yet if I can do the Friday but other days I could.
There's a baby group Friday morning at the hive that can get absolutely packed (sure there was about 30 prams the other week) so cafe might be bit busy straight after that, not saying that shouldn't do it then but just thought I'd mention it

:(
Have fun without me...I will be in France and by the time I get back and you have decided to do it all over again you will all be best buddies and I won't be allowed in the quiche.
Plus you will all have sniffed pink's baby, and the smell will all be used up

OK, is that enough self pity?
Have a fab time and please include me in next time
:O

Can I come too?

Of course igotaway the more the merrier. So what kind of time do you all think - I think pinkpepper has a point about avoiding the end of bounce and rhyme....but I've never organised a bunch of strangers before so can I sheepishly suggest 11.30? Or is that a strange time?

Norks & anyone else who can't make it, I'm on ML and always on the look out for people to meet up with so will happily do supplementary meet ups if anyone wants to! I do have a 6mo if that's any attraction - although admittedly his newborn smell has all been used up (well not to me, but I reckon I'll still be smelling his hair when he's 40!).

Ooh, did someone say new baby cuddles? How lovely! And a 6 month old Smile My two are well past the baby stage. I have lectures, at the uni, starting again at 2.15 so 11.30 suits me fine. I'll be able to do some work beforehand. Shhh it's my birthday, it will be good to spend some of my day with some new peeps!

I work ft in Brum too and things are pretty stressful at the mo so I wouldn't be very good company. Willl keep an eye out for future meet ups though Smile

Great - I'm really quite excited to be meeting up with real life mner's! I don't have THE Mumsnet scarf though, but I can wear a scarf as I have many!

I did a trial visit to the cafe at The Hive yesterday and can report back it has nice looking food, and, most importantly good chairs for bf (no arms) :)

I will pass feedback to my Hive-cafe-owning friend. I like the bast feeding feedback especially.
Very jealous that you will be having a meet without me, but so happy that it is happening at all

:o

Great. It's in my diary. Fingers crossed nothing happens to interfere with working @ home that day

Oooh exciting - if I don't chicken out I'd really like to come too. I will be at bump n grind on Friday morning anyway. Not too hard to come to the cafe straight after, really! And if I get an attack of the scareds I can just pretend I was there for some other reason.
