Me, me! Thursday or Friday are ok for me. Tuesday's ok if it's a bit later.

Sounds good. I can do Friday 7th, or most Thursdays and Fridays. Will be great to meet you all!

I can probably come too.
Would have DS in tow too though. I hope that's ok...

How about you all come to mine first for a French class and then go straight after?

Though I guess that wouldn't suit you RuthChan as you'll have to go back out to pick up ds.

Just a thought.

Yes, I have to be in Waterloo at 12.00 to pick up DS from school.
Unless I can rope someone into collecting and keeping him for me for a couple of hours.
Tempting idea...

Would have been nice to come along and meet you all but I will be in the UK then. Enjoy your lunch though!

Natation, we can always organise one on a different day of the week. I can always do lunch! The food in the canteen at work is awful!

At the moment Friday 7th is good for me...I will schedule 'important client lunch' into my work diary Grin

DH is away that week so I would have to duck out if DS gets ill and can't go to creche but otherwise should be fine.

Where shall we go? Someone near the Bourse/St Gery? Or any special requests?

As long as I can easily get there by public transport from the Gare du Nord, I am quite flexible.

I'm good as long as its close to the metro.

Report
Longtime · 25/09/2011 21:55

Close to a metro for me too please!

There is a nice Thai near to the Bourse that does a reasonable set lunch. I can't remember what it is called, of course....

Well I'm just a newcomer but I hope it's the one we noticed near Bourse metro, as couldn't forget the name: "Fanny Thai". Tapas sounds lovely too.

Just found out I'm working next Friday so won't make it along (also means I'll miss your French class Longtime, sorry). Hope you have a lovely lunch and I get the chance to meet you all next time.

Hi Best, glad to hear you've got some work! Don't worry about the French classes as I haven't started them yet. Not sure if I'm going to as everyone seems to have other commitments. I'll have to see.

hi - i'd be interested in lunch and french classes and meeting up in general. I'm having a bit of a hard time getting settled in brussels, finding my way around, and i'm hoping to meet people who have been in similar situation.

OOOh - only just seen this one. I'd love to do lunch, but work too far from the metro to make it to Bourse and back in a lunchbreak. Let me know if you organise one nearer to Schuman/Montgomery/Ixelles...

Report
Portofino · 03/10/2011 18:12

Schuman/Montgomery isn't a problem for me. I guess not for others if they are coming from Stockel/Auderghem via Metro. Anyone CAN'T get there easily? Any suggestions for eating places. I think I have mostly been in the pubs Blush round there. I know there is a reasonable Indian restaurant nearby. I am guessing we might need to book as it will be busy lunchtime....?
