i have always felt real dislike for ramsey, but this is above and beyond even his usual level of rudeness. i think the guy is heading for somekind of break down, his business is reportedly not doing well, people are starting to see him for the arrogant twat he is - what goes around comes around eh gordon?

He always was a sexist twunt

saying he has never changed a nappy and the first 2 years of a child's life is women's work

cannot for the life of me see what women see in him

ilovesprouts · 10/06/2009 11:14

he can still cook for me though

I was never keen on him, then I started to dislike him, and now if I see that one of his programmes is coming on the tv I switch over.
Can't stand him. He's made his name by swearing and bullying and now will find out that its not big and its not clever.

Funny how he just randomly started being offensive to her. You don't think it was a publicity stunt at all do you?

talbot · 10/06/2009 11:44

I think he's under a huge amount of pressure and is starting to crack.

Wow, good for Grimshaw! It looks as if he has shat on the wrong person this time - she's really standing up for herself and showing him up for what he is, which as she says is the only way to deal with a bully like this.

I too think he is headed for a spectacular fal, and I'm glad. Would have happened already if his wife had so chosen.

A few weeks ago I got a free Tana Ramsey cookbook on a magazine - I had to laugh - it is called "Good Honest Food" and the intro goes on and on about how great it is to be a NORMAL honest-to-goodness family eating good HONEST food. The poor woman - she has to get back at him somehow but eventually I think if he carries on like this the pretense will just collapse. And particularly revolting that he reserves his worst, most degrading abuse for women and their appearance. What a foul piece of work.

I can't stand the man! I'm always that such a foul mouthed bully gets so much air time on TV. He really is vile.
About time he got his comeuppance I think.

I don't understand what started it all off? did she say anything to annoy him or did he just start insulting her mole? he's about to be crushed under the weight of his own ego. I thought she dealt with it very well, and I'm glad that the station allowed her to make the statement she did (probably because half their staff had been insulted by him)

I had to share a kitchen with him once - use to run a catering company. And yes he is a grade A wanker. He was in MY kitchen less than 10 minutes before we had a nose to chin row, well he is bigger than me

It's so odd. He was giving a talk to a big load of people and then suddenly and randomly held up/showed a really horrible picture of a porny women with about 8 breasts and a pigs snout ready to be rear mounted.

What on earth was he thinking?

Report
mumblechum · 10/06/2009 12:39

I've always avoided his restaurants since I saw him on TV SPITTING ON A TEATOWEL then wiping round the edge of a plate with it before it went out to the table.

He is a total twat isn't he. But really - the Prime Minister needed to get involved? I think not. What is it with Prime Ministers these days, FGS?

Report
talbot · 10/06/2009 12:58

Oh in Australia the PM gets involved with everything. They gave Steve Irwin a state funeral remember!

LovelyTinOfSpam · 10/06/2009 13:03

Must admit I found the UK kitchen nightmares programs quite entertaining but went totally off him with all that affair stuff, the whole poppers and pringles thing just made me and he has all those kids FGS...

DH just said he thinks he is having a breakdown...

(GR, that is, not DH, although the nappy DH is currently wrestling with would be enough to give anyone a breakdown from the smell of it...)

shootfromthehip · 10/06/2009 13:07

I'd still do him.

Unicornvomit · 10/06/2009 13:10

I think this is what happens when you believe your own hype.

he is now a caricature

and clearly not that fond of women

Can't stand the bloke. Would refuse to eat in his restaurants although I am sure the food would be excellent. He is a foul mouthed bully.

Reading stuff in the press looks like his business empire is about to crash rather spectacularly so i should imagine he's stressed and not so nice bits of his personality are coming to the fore.

Do like his wife though after she did that nice webchat on here.

Yes I like his wife, she seems very nice and surprisingly I quite like her books.

Oh well, I am neither a fan nor a detractor of Gordon, but I have to say that whole row sounds like a whole load of nothing and watching him repeatedly apologise and admit to his errors and faults in the interview was way OTT. In the end, I actually wanted him to say "oh fuck you" to the interviewer. As if the PM has to intervene!

The Tracy Grimshaw says "I don't want to add further to this" but carries on for over 2 minutes!

I thought Australia had an outbreak of swine flu - have they nothing else to fill their news programmes with than this?

Report
ipanemagirl · 10/06/2009 13:35

I think he is clearly a very talented Tosser and misogynist. Always has been.

But his behaviour since he got caught with his pants down is extra weird; he's acting like he's taking some kind of medication and it's making him a bit nutty, like someone whose behaviour has been modified by something extremely stimulating.....
