27 marathons in 27 days.

I can't work out if he's brilliant or bonkers! What an incredible achievement, and he's raised £1.35m for Sports Relief.

I hope he's recognised in the next honours. What a guy.

Yes, me too. Sir Eddie.

It's amazing. He got less coverage than I would have thought though. When David Walliams swam the Thames it was practically rolling news.

So many people seemed to have no idea. He's done an extraordinary thing and it warranted more coverage. The man is just fabulous.

Did he get more coverage the first time he did Marathon Man? I forget.

but i think Eddie has always got less coverage than he deserves, he's a great man and a wonderfully talented comedian.

Backing I just said to DH that I'm surprised there isn't a programme just about his marathons, like there was for David Walliams.

I agree that this has gone relatively under the radar. It's a huge, huge thing. An incredible achievement.

I'm sure they did a documentary about his last marathon challenge. But yes his efforts are always under reported, I wonder why. They are phenomenal.

What an achievement.

I did a half yesterday and am aching like nothing today. Couldn't imagine doing double that distance 27 days in a row.

Well done Eddie!

I know, I can't imagine running one marathon let alone getting up every day and doing it again and again for nearly a month.

He is just amazing.

ineed I think he's aged a lot over the last couple of years, all that long distance running can't be good for him. 🙁

Well done Eddiie, Looking forward to the 16 week documentary NOT.

He actually had to do two marathons today, to make up for missing a day under doctor's orders a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe it when I saw the very final part of the final marathon was up a flight of steps, he looked like he was going to keel over on the way up.

This is an insane and brilliant feat of endurance.

I heard him speaking on the radio yesterday that the first time he was inspired by Mandela's 27 years in prison and how he could give 27 days of his life as a sort of tribute. He is an absolute inspiration and I would marry him tomorrow and share make up tips with him happily for the rest of my life. The fact that he looks better than me in a skirt might need addressing though.

Two marathons in one day after 25 in 26 days. It doesn't seem possible. Amazing.

I loved marathon man, he is amazing to do this again.

AuldYow · 20/03/2016 21:01

Bloody amazing, what an achievement.

He was on Sports Relief the other night with painted nails, his feet were in better condition than mine and he'd run 24 marathons by then Blush

Phenomenal achievement, such an inspiration and as a runner (am nothing like him though! ) serious respect. He's such a mix of things, I so admire him for his spirit, determination, quirkiness and more serious acting, despite not really liking his standup stuff. Wish he'd do more like The Riches which was fab and would watch another running documentary of him, no question 😊
