Angelina will be induced if she doesn't go into labour by her due date:

maybe \link{http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds33351.html\this} is why they want the baby born sooner rather than later

angelina is unable to fly anymore, even in a private jet.

but surely w/all their army of staff, someone could get zahara back to the US if she needs urgent treatment.

angelina is estranged from her father, but she is still close to her mum and brother.

second that hula and fio - I would try anything not to have to be induced again.

Yeah, why oh why if Zamibia is not a good place to get medical attention would you want to have your (FIRST!) child there???? Hope it works out for her (and baby Pitt).

And, uh... 16 month old not sleeping well and screams when placed on her back... is this not normal behaviour for a toddler?

I was reading somewhere (some trashy mag, probably) that all's not well in the BP - AJ household due to the suburban vs the nomadic outlook of the two.

Re the stretchmark thing, what a load of cock (sorry). DD was born at 37+4 and I got plenty of stretchies. Mine started appearing with no mercy at about 31/32 weeks, inducing DD to avoid them would have been madness.

Angelina's birthday is 05 June. Maybe she wants to share it? I have no basis for this question, just a thought.

Uwila · 26/05/2006 12:20

Oh, and DD was born at 42+2 -- no stretchmarks... runs for cover

Uwila - it's do with age - the older you are the less stretch marks you have as you've had a lot more periods producing progesterone (or whatever it is) that stops them. That's why I have none - yet Grin

Just to continue with the off tangent re stretchmarks. I didn't get any with either of my pregnancies and both dd's were well overdue. I didn't think it had anything to do with age - I was 37 and 38 when they were born - more to do with years of yo-yo dieting so my tum was 'stretchy' enough! Wink

there is a nice story on there about Vic Reeves and Nancy Sorrells twins \link{http://www.sky.com/showbiz/article/0,,50001-1222903,00.html\arriving}

that might make sense, as I was 20 when DD was born.

Possibly not though, as I thought stretchmarks were to do with the amount of collagen in your skin, the more collagen you have, the more 'elastic' your skin is so stretches with ease and snaps back into place (alledgedly). The older you get, the less collagen you produce and so your skin stretches and can't recover as well as it would have done in youth, hence wrinkles and stretch marks...

I think stretchmarks is as much about your own personal genetic predisposition to them as anything else.

Exactly, fio. Strechmarks appear on skin whenever there has been a period of rapid growth, the skin can't stretch fast enough so marks appear.

I think it's down to genetics. Mymother doesn't have them (four kids) my sister doesn't have then (1 kid -- and another on the way), I have two kids. So, basically if you want to know if you are likely to get them, best thing is to poll your mum and sisters.

And, if collagen was the answer, I'm sure there would be a zillion pregnancy creams advertising their collagen content. Besides how I really take seriously anything said by someone with a name like normsknockers Grin ...still on of my favourite mn names.
