Is it me or do the courts seem to be getting worse. 5 years & 7 months.

It's not enough. I get so angry. This man should be put in an asylum as he isn't sane. It's not just this case, but loads of cases recently where people are put on probationary supervision but have still done something evil. The only supervision that can stop them doing it again is being locked up for 24 hours until they are very old people or die.

Granted there will be new cases but if the person knew that by doing these disgusting evil things, just the once, would it stop them, knowing that they would be locked up for the rest of their natural lives.

I still think about those boys who tortured the Girl Mary Anne Leneghan. They are not sane people....I don't think they have been sentenced yet. What will they get for that girls life 8/10 years maybe...? Frank Dobson is blah blahing about tougher sentences and more supervision. Please.

I'm telling you, I'm a strong believer in life imprisonment w/o the possibility of parole. Some people a) cannot and will not EVER be rehabilitated to the point where they are no longer a danger to society b) deserve such punishement for their actions (the Mary Anne Leneghan murderers spring to mine. They are perfectly sane, just mean f*ckwits who deserve to rot in jail).

I swa a documentary once, where they interviewed paedophiles in prison, and most of them said quite openly, they will do it again as soon as they can once they are released.............they should have their manhoods cut off with a rusty knife and left to rot most of them are not mentally ill, just sick twisted perverts.

I agree, waterfalls. Most are just twisted pervs. Porn fuels this type of crime. Sorry, but it does. It's anything but a harmless industry.

It isn't a 'bit of harmless fun'

It packages sex and makes it a consumer item....it helps to make things like this easier to justfy in the minds of the twisted.

Yeah castration seems great till you watch a documentary on american jails where they get a lighter sentence for beiong castrated and sit there smilling telling you that they still have hands, eyes and gobs!!!!

these people do not deserve nor should they have any human rights imo if they can do this to another human being especially that of a child and as for the poncy f*ckwits who bang on saying that they should have them obviously have not had anything like this happen to them, their family or friends.

they should be made impotent! and then locked up for life!! and i don't care how old they are. Its a disgrace the way these people slip through the authorities and get away with horrific crimes and then the sentences they get are laughable

For any professional to say that upon release they will not re-offend well they are deluded to say the least.

Thanks for helping me with this rant cos' I am boiling over with this one.

The people in charge are surely educated, civilised etc, so why do they keep foisting these scum back on us as a people.

I cannot in my wildest dreams imagine being the judge who freed this man.... so that he could rape again. We should find out who it was so we can petition for their removal.

Thats a thought, how do we find out?

Totally agree with everyone...these people are disgusting pieces of sht and I do think that castration would help(not chemical, actual*)they could never enjoy themselves again...

and the judges are probably sexual defiants too thats why they give such light sentences...I know a girl who was raped by the father for years and became pregnant by him at 13..the baby was aborted at 7 months cant even imagine what she went through and.. he only got 6 yrs..

he was probably out in a year or two, catalogue. free to live his life ruining the lives of others who were completely powerless to stop him - children.

castration doesn't help these pervs. they honestly should be locked up for the rest of their lives.

what about the human rights of the victims, was on the news today about the government wanting to introduce tougher measures for offenders but ooooohhhh human rights folk were not happy about it, fuck that these people do not deserve anything yes feed and shelter them but keep them as far a from society as possible.

UCM - the Mary Ann killers have been sentenced and are in for life. The YOs for definite are already in their prison establishment and will remain there for a long time. They will be getting very little support or sympathy from their fellow prisoners.

I seem to remember years ago reading a newspaper article, where a peadophile was actually begging to be castrated, he said otherwise he would offend again...I'm not sure what happened to him .

It will only work if the testicles are removes (or treated hormonaly). Without the testosterone they lose the drive to have sex. Just lopping off the penis leaves them with the drive

Shellybelly, I was being ironic. I do not think that these scum have Human rights. I was pointing out from the article by the Sussex police that these people DO HAVE HUMAN RIGHTS. I totally abhor the Human Rights Act because it seems to serve the people whom least need it.
