Morning
thanks for thread scatty, glad you got the bedroom sorted, hope it works as a bedroom soon i.e. for sleeping!! couldn't cope with that. Only in extreme circumstances i.e. very poorly do I forsake my own bed or even let little ones into ours. I don't like it! i know some find it snuggly, I just find it annoying!
swan Car done? well done!!
Welcome threetimemummy

Well expecting friends this morning, gave me an excuse to tidy up. I am feeling 50% better - that's with the cup half full, isn't it!

Thanks for the thread Scatty Wendy yep, I need SP aversion therapy

Well DH has started the SPAT as he has said he doesn't want to go never mind, I bet they do a DVD with it on anyway. At least it stops we fretting about Boris I suppose. Plus I'm very interested in Mr Lightbody's side projects

Thanks for the Anti-Boris comments. I'm having to take it so steady ATM, lots of sitting n surfing so I'm being quite good. Kitchen is a mess but I'll do it when I feel more able

See you later my dears

Made the DC's some playdoh and that is keeping them occupied nicely - well for at least 5 mins!!

Yay to swan for doing the medicine cabinet - you reminded me I need to do mine!!

afternoon all
threetimes welcome! Impressive lists...puts me to shame. To cross out needs to be a single word or have no spaces , so would need to surround each word in the sentence with -- rather than the whole sentence IYSWIM ..... you see I spend time working things like that out to avoid housework LOL

scatty yay for new dc room and romantic weekend

swan "post car and school" that will cost you a bit in postage LOL

GO glad you're taking it easy

wendy glad you'reon the mend at least...

tm afternoon. Meant to say (but forgot!) that your dinner mats were brilliant. Could definately sell some of those - great idea!

Having a slow day here....
DS2 perfecting the art of toddler tantrums with style...
More ongoing job application stress which I wont bore yoiu all with....
And generally just exhausted...

BUT have:
sorted out and packed dd4 party bags for Sat
Sorted craft activity that may be managable with a room of 3/4 year olds LOL
Tidied all bedrooms and hoovered upstairs
rebooted laundry
on line job application faffing

now going to chill for 1/2 hour and make a shoping list...

Afternoon all

Welcome threetimesmummy and hello to all.

I have no idea where the week has gone, its been a real blur. I seem to have been really busy but not got anything done.

Sign language last night was horrendous (in a good way) as we have so much to catch up on so I have mountains of work to get through this weekend from this and two assignments and loads of reading from my other courses so i'm just going to use this thread to try to keep me organised so apoligies in advance if I don't keep up with everyone this weekend.

My friend got on her PGCE course as well, not the same one as me but at the same Uni so it means 1/2 the driving as we can car share so will also save on petrol. I'm so pleased, we are going to go out and celebrate next week, although it still doesn't seem real as I haven't celebrated this week. Although we have a pre-course day that we have to attend to complete paperwork, meet everyeone etc and that is whilst I am on holida - still don't know what to do about that. May have to see if grandparents want our holiday and to take DD with them - Arghhh

Have entered race for life this year as well. Did it last year but walked it all. Want to try and run some of it this year so have entered early to give me time to train. Was supposed to go out for my first run yesterday but just didn't have the time. Going to try the couch to 5K to ease me in gently - yikes

Jobs for today

2 x washing (2nd load in now)
Toad in the hole for tea
shopping - may have to do later when DD in bed
15 minutes in each room to take the edge off the mess. That should give me a better idea of what desperately needs attention and what can wait until I have more time.
Tidy dining room so that we can eat in there instead of on our knees as DD eating is getting bad - taking time, messy and lazy. Need to stop eating on our knees in front of telly

Sorry for self-obsessed post - May be back later if I get some stuff done

Grouchy, so sorry about the bad situation with Boris. Lots of people don't even walk as much as you anyway and drive everywhere, or DO as much as you. Taking kids to and from things is exhausting anyway. Think mobility scooter sounds brilliant idea.

DONE - trying to rotate homework and telly at moment
Aztecs - what a bloodthirsty lot, although the mythology sounds strangely familiar - did all the dffernt gods of world religions get together and come up with a plan?
more kitchentidying [aaargh]

To do
supper

seeds Dylsmum? You make me think of spring already
Making Changes, that's lovely to have a friend to compare notes, but not on exactly same course ifysim. My kids' manners are not good even AT table - I'm working on just getting them to make polite conversation..

Report
swanriver · 21/01/2010 17:22

and it's not going to be polite if the Aztecs leave an impression
although the Spanish Cqstrs weren't much better

Hi All

Dinner is in the oven o should be ready in about 1/2 hr to 45 mins. Have made rice with ginger and soy fish fr the dcs and chilli and garlic fish with rice for DH and me. YUM!!!

Swan - what printer did you decide on? One of those all in one combos?

OM - thanks for the tips!! The list is my usual daily one, it just looks lots but isnt really!! I you do it everyday it ends up tkaing hardly anytime at all and you cna do most of it in 5 min blocks!!

GO - sorry, newcomer so dont know the background..snow patrol??

Dyl - what seeds are you planting? WE have been given a little bit of our neighbours allotment - should I be getting started now?? I was hoping for it to warm up a bit b4 I had to go out in the weather!!
Dont worry about eating at the table...i have two trays for the boys that they use - although we do eat at the table if hubby is home on the weekends. During the week it is easier for me i they just use their tray on the loor - plus it contains the mess to a spot that I can just wipe down in the sink rather than having to do the floors again!!

Scatty - I have a 4yr old boy and an almost 3yr old boy - 18mths apart so they are great friends. And of course the bubba on the way (silently excited that it is a GIRL!!!)

MC - what sign language do you do? is it part of your course? My 4yr old LOVES makaton - gotta love Justin!1 He uses it all the time for no reason and his preschool teacher even pulled out all her makaton resources for him he is so into it!!

Well I managed to do the vacuuming and all that is left on my list is dinner and associated cleanup and mopping the floors after dinner. Will put away the folded washing while the boys are in the bath then it is just teeth, stories and bed!!

THEN I am going to collapse on the couch!! although i will probably be MNing and streaming Hells Kitchen. I am a little addicted!!

hello all
I am stuffed full of scones, cake and tiffin from lunch and then tea time! That's my diet ruined again.
DS horrid tonight. I am fed up with him. He is rude, hurtful and doesn't care about anyone but himself! Within minutes of coming home DD was screaming at him, crying and beside herself with him shouting at her and generally being horrid. he won't do as he is asked and is generally just objectionable. i am at my wits' end!!

Had lovely time with my friends, on the up side.

BB tomorrow. Too tired for any hellos will make up for it tomorrow.
