Do you have a towel management system?

Do you fold up the towels after they've been used and use them again?

And whilst hanging them up to dry, where do you put them? Let's say you've all had baths or showers and there are four towels? Do you really have enough space in the bathroom for them?

Do you keep to your own towels? Perhaps a colour coded system?

Do you share?

If reusing, how do you make sure towels get washed often enough? Do you literally just wait until they're smelly?!?

Just wondering how other people manage their towels.

We share towels, 2 bath towels in use at a time. I for the girls and 1 for the boys plus a hand towel.
We have a towel rail which fits all 3 in the bathroom.
Washed every 3 days.

No colour codes.

We are grateful to find a towel in my chaotic house.
They always get washed after swimming and they never go smelly.

All clean towels are folded and kept in one area - at the end of the bath/shower.

When the towel has been used it is then spread ou on a wooden air thingy near the bathroom radiator (right next to it actually) so that in winter the towel drys quicker. The towel will be used for two to three days and then washed. We each use our own towel due to impetigo risk (we seem to suffer at times in this house)Then we wash towels every use on hot wash.

lol at a system! wash every couple of days, unfortunately hang on upstairs banisters because of shortage of space. Would prefer bathroom with room for towel rail system !

colour-coded? I love that! Oh no, just realised, we have an allocated space on the banister for each persons towel - that's a system innit?

This is all very interesting.

Can I add another question please?

If hanging towels to dry, eg on an airer, or similar, how do you know which is yours?

I embroider our initials on the relevant towel. Helps a lot and keeps things hygienic.

The butler dries us off with his longjohns.

He is brisk.

Urgh, sharing towels. Have you never heard of threadworms?

We have our own towels...which we hang up after use. I am the self appointed towel nazi monitor, and I make sure ALL towels are accounted for at all times.

Those who do not follow the house towel rules are duly flogged.

I can come into your house and establish a towel management system for a small fee
