Confused it'll be fine.

If you don't boil it, it's never hot enough.

Doesn't it just say that boiling will impair the flavour? It's fine to eat if it tastes OK.

But the tin says to heat up but NOT to boil

Won't do you any harm at all - might taste slightly different.

I always boil soup, didn't know it was a thing not to. I like the extra thick bits round the edges from boiling.

I’m intrigued what did you think would happen to you? Poisoned by boiling?

You can’t get the middle hot enough without boiling the edges imo.

I've never read the cans. I always boil it. Otherwise by the time you've got your bread and poured it into a bowl and faffed about, it would be cold.

Honestly me and dh have a domestic about this all the time. He says DO NOT Boil I say it's too fricking cold of you don't.

When I intially read this I pictured a can of soup ( as in the soup still in the can) in boiling water...... and you wondering if you could eat the soup out of the can?!

travellinglighter · 15/02/2019 22:38

You do know that the raw ingredients are mixed, processed and then sealed in the can and then cooked, don’t you?

Report
Nicknacky · 15/02/2019 22:38

What did you think would happen if it was boiled?

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 15/02/2019 22:38

I thought you meant the can, whole.

starzig · 15/02/2019 22:41

I think OP is just taking the P about the fact it says do not boil.

Report
Theimpossiblegirl · 15/02/2019 22:49

I think it's poisonous of you boil it. A bit like that fish, if you prepare it correctly it's a delicacy, get it wrong and it's deadly!

No it's not poisonous FFS, taste might be slightly 'impaired' but I've boiled more Heinz tomato than I care to remember as a) didn't ever notice the difference taste wise and b) am still here to tell the tale (check out my MNname) !!!

Yes. Eating boiled tomato soup carries a 100% mortality rate. Sorry about that OP.
