Are those vacuum pack storage bags any good?

We bought some ages ago and they didn't last five minutes before splitting

Are they better quality now or are they still useless?

Can anyone recommend a brandv can anyone recommend a brand? Mainly for clothes and bedding

I've had this problem too. The longest lasting ones I had were from tesco. The home bargains 99p ones were worth 99p 😂

I have found that the gusseted ones that stand upright are much better than the other type, but they are more expensive

They're expensive, but you can get a vast amount in them. I got several coats, blankets, and lots of clothes in the one linked and it fits on a shelf in the wardrobe. You do have to fold things carefully though, or you end up with a ball shape rather than a cube . Lots of sizes available.

They're fantastic for things like duvets and pillows too. Squash down to nothing.

I have a Ziplock brand ones for guest bedding and they are good quality and have lasted two years so far, being opened maybe four or five times a year.

Best though is to try to declutter to the max if you can.

Yes but some stuff I have to keep winter/summer clothes, spare bedding & towels etc

I have tried lots of different but these have been the best so far and they're cheap which is an added bonus

The John Lewis Ines are pretty good.

I bought some truly crap Ines from Amazon recently so they must vary considerably.

No worries. They're really good! You can literally stack them about 3-4 times the height of the bag that they're in, and then you hoover out all the air and everything just squishes into the bag. It's got a clip/strap too, to keep everything together.

They look really sturdy. I've bought 2 lots of vacuum bags previously, and both have punctured within one use, which is really frustrating since they weren't the cheapest kind! Hopefully these ones will be better.

I still have some Betterware ones which are 15-20 years old plus some from the USA.

I think I got mine from Argos and use them for storing summer clothes in winter.
I travel a lot and also use them to get a decent amount of clothes into cabin bags.

The ones I got have lasted a few years and I got some more for DS.
One did split on me recently but to be fair I did overstuff it!

Well I bought 3 from Argos & packed the first one - 20 minutes later it had expanded

I paked the second & I could hear the hiss straight away

So back to argos & back to the drawing board

My argos ones have been in rucksacks while ive been on back packing holidays, they've just been to Australia and back and have now got the summer dresses in.

I have asda own brand ones. Never had a problem with them. They have clothes in as well as duvets.
