I have a classixx. It does a 40 degree cotton wash in an hour and a half, and I find it good. Except...the exit hose traps one cent coins, and if that happens it turns off, and it has to be pulled out and have its coin removed. But, as my repair man says, some machines would flood with an exit blocked but this one doesn't. (I know what to do now, he doesn't have to come out). My dishwasher is 12 years old and Bosch, it has never had a problem.

Thanks. Yes our current one carries on regardless but blockage killed it in the end, so not too bad.

The dryer takes forever. Having said that, it is in my daughters' flat and nobody has spent any time working out the best programme.

I'm thinking it's better to always go for separate and the dryer just won't be as good.

I'm with Marsha.

The combined ones are more expensive, less reliable, and not as good.

I wonder if you could get a stacking kit, if your room is tiny?

Bosch is a pretty good brand.

Thanks PigletJ am going back to singles. Bosch or at a push Miele. Would love a Miele.

A lovely man replaced our ancient Bosch washing machine seal recently, and he rated them nearly as highly as Miele, and they're not as expensive.

I wouldn't be keen on a washer / dryer combination though - I'd worry that it would do neither job as well as I'd hope.

It's down to a Bosch washing machine 8kg 1400rpm

or a Miele washing machine 6kg 1300rpm.

Miele £100 more, but 5 year guarantee. Bosch 2 year.

I really want the Miele, but I think I will want that 8kg Bosch wash.

Opinions greatly appreciated!

With those stats I'd go for the Bosch every time. You've basically got a statutory guarantee for six years anyway - the old 'fit for purpose' part of the various consumer acts. I'd love a massive load machine, am lusting after a 9kg one to do duvets in!

You're a star thank you.

Yes for Bosch. Slightly cheaper and bigger.

Thanks!

I got a Bosch 7Kg Exxcel 7 in April & really rate it. Good selection of programmes (which have been used!!) It's true that the cycle times are longer but I put a load on the night before & set the timer so that it's finished just after I get up.

I love my Bosch Exxcel too. Standard 40 degree wash 1hr 10. Quick was 35 minutes.

As LHDrive says you can put timer on for wash to start first thing in the morning too.

With my Bosch washing machine there is a flap at the front which you can use to unblock it yourself (usually hair in this house). The normal wash cycle is about 50 minutes. I also have a large Bosch dryer, which I love for how it adjusts drying time to how wet everything is, so different to US ones.

Excellent, sounds good.

Hi,
My Bosch exxcel is taking too long even if I set for super fast cycle. It finishes the super fast cycle in more then 2 hours. Is this normal? or any thing I am missing to adjust?
Thanks
